didn't we already cover this refereeing topic? independent research has proven they get something like 94% of calls correct yet we still have flat earthers who think NBA games are consistently poorly officiated and rigged.

Rush Limbaugh has a radio show you can listen to instead of watching basketball. probably more your speed.

Of course it was none of us are 20 year olds playing in front of all those people. Right now his game is probably mostly instincts and his ability. Once his brain slows the game down he will be awesome.
when they drafted Ben, i remember Brett saying that he wanted Ben to not think at all about a jumpshot. Switching from PF to PG was hard enough, and they would worry about jumpshot in 2-3 years. i am not sure all coaches would think this way with Ben, and i definitely think it is the right call.

Omg a guy playing in his 1st NBA season is making mistakes, especially during the playoffs.

Of course Simmons  is always going for the best play, until this year he was always head and shoulders better than everyone he played against and could get away with it. Now he has to learn that everyone is really really good and fast. It is no different than a young qb learning certain throw can be made in college and not in the NFL.

Good news is after he becomes a star and D.Jax goes to an alias we will know who he is with that writing.
Unfortunately for you I'm not one of those people. But hey keep hoping for that.

Did you see Lebron point the other way like that ball out of bounds was supposed to go to the Cavs even though it was clearly off of him?  Man what a whiner.  I hate this generation of players.

Sixers have had some Sportscenter moments during this series, but that spin move Tatum put on SImmons was pretty nasty. I didn't like seeing that

The NBA is the worst at developing players these days. Don't be surprised in 8 yrs if Team USA is struggling against the European teams in the Olympics.  Euro guys are in a pro league which is a higher level then NCAA College ball. Plus albeit not great players they are still playing against some former NBA guys who had enough talent to get to the NBA. In Europe they also develop players better. They play team ball. A guy like Westbrook who tries hero ball would've been traded, cut, riding the bench in Europe because playing the way he does destroys the system many teams play.. In fact a few of the Team USA players have said they enjoyed olympic style basketball since it reminded them of how Europe does it. Many of these Euro guys coming over are more developed then the NCAA prospects as well with better basketball IQs. We in America need to stop pretending we're still this amazing country at sports. This is why we will never be good in World Cups or one of the elites and I fear someday in the future the US is gonna start struggling basketball wise do to our lack of overall development.

Also this is from NBA draft Express

The Boston Celtics have, for the moment, cracked the code to 21 year old rookie Ben Simmons who has averaged just 12 points, 6.1 rebounds, 5.2 assists and 4.2 turnovers with sub-50 percent true shooting in nine games in the postseason

Simmons' lack of a jump shot remains a problem, and as his scoring at the rim evaporated against the #Celtics, his defensive motor and overall aggressiveness slowed - both of which we saw regularly with LSU Basketball

Full Mike Schmitz) report on the 2017-18 rookies and their outlooks on espn.com (video produced by Form Shooting) >> dx.im/Rooks-17

Simmons should have spent another year at LSU getting blamed for not winning 1v5.
Not sure if you are joking or not but I had said Simmons and a few others can benefit from staying another year. Players can develop better in College then the NBA these days. But the lack of development in Both the NBA and NCAA is becoming a concern

No thanks I'm not into listening to racist pill poppers

It isn't just LeBron that owns the Raptors, it is anyone wearing a Cavs jersey.

The entire Cavs roster, other than Lebron were sleeping through the playoffs, then here come the Raptors and it is like blood in the water for a bunch of sharks.

Sharks are actually a much better analogy for the Raptors since they also #### the bed late in the postseason.

Players can develop better in college playing against infinitely inferior talent? That’s an interesting take.

Not going to debate who is greater between the two but there is 1 thing LeBron did that Jordan never could.  That was come back from a 3-1 deficit in the finals against the greatest regular season team of all time a 73 win GS team and beat them on their own home floor in game 7.  Of the 9 championships won between them clearly James won the hardest of the 9 because Jordan was the favorite all 6 times and was a 72 team win once while James had to beat the 73 win team.

Jordan will always have 6-0 so there is that which is what most people will reason to be why he is the greatest player of all time.

Jordan is my favorite player ever but LeBron is right there to me. I love hitting the Lebron haters with how many times did Jordan beat Bird in a playoff series.

Not going to debate, but here is why LeBron is better and why people think Jordan is.  :lmao:

holy hell Boston media and bloggers, etc. love to cry. The whining about the officials from that group is amazing and ironic at the same time.

Sorry to harp still about that game, Cavs are fun too, was just amazed at how over-whelming all of this "it was the refs" talk there really is after the first 3 games of the series

Poor Toronto. Played balls to the wall all season in order to get that top seed. While Lebron just yawned his way through the 82 game schedule. I bet they really thought it meant something. To get swept this badly has to be so disheartening.

Another thing MJ never did was sweep a #1 seed.  LeBron is on the verge of doing it twice in the last 4 years.

Here is some amazing things to think about.

ESPN's BPI had Raptors as an 88% favorite to win the series and they may not win a single game.

538 had Raptors at 71% to win the series.

Vegas had it at 68% Raptors to win series.

Not many people thought the Cavs had much of a chance to make the NBA Finals when playoffs started and getting beat by 34 in game 6 only made more think that.

LeBron is simply amazing.

I agree with the Raptors part, but I don't think LeBron yawned through anything. He was awesome.

Coaching IMHO is better. In the NBA they have to win right away. College is there to develop players. You are basically having training for your job that is your job application for your next employer. It shouldn't be the professional Employers job to train and develop things you should've learned in college.

LeBron with tonight's game now has 18 consecutive playoff games with at least 20 pts, 5 rebounds and 5 assists.

MJ is 2nd on the list with 11 straight.

MJ beat 20 50 Win Teams in his playoff career. Lebron 10. Jordan never needed to beat a one Seed when the Bulls were great since they were usually the #1 seed.

And Sixers fans cry any time someone mentions the Sixers tanking. Your point?

Lol, because college coaches aren't under pressure to win right away.

MJ Never let his team get down 3-1 in the finals that's the difference. Lebron also lost a 2-1 finals lead against GS when Kyrie went down. MJ also would've never let Jason Terry avg more PPG in finals then him either.

Quit saying that. Kyrie went out in game 1, which they lost.

Of course he was. He's the best player in the game by a longshot. He also knew he has another gear when he needs to use it.  While Toronto was using all they had to secure the one seed.
