He was talking about how players the younger ones today were entitled and complained and had zero respect for the veteran leaders in the clubhouses, were a bunch of showboaters when things went right but wouldn't hustle when they made a bad play or acted like a drama queen and then complained about being too tired. He was talking about why he retired and how for some athletes its hard to admit they are done. Myers was struggling at the time but said the decision he thought would be tougher for him early in his career to one day retired was basically made easier by all the entitled punks in locker rooms. It actually wasn't an interview but a Facebook live chat. Someone asked him what was the moment he realized he wanted to retire. it was during the World Baseball classic and he complained about these guys showboating. One guy hit a HR in the 1st inning and had acted like he just won the WS and his AB with Myers live he grounded out and barely hustled to first. He used it as an example why his retirement was made easier. He talked a lot about how sports and baseball had changed as well and talked how players today are very entitled and complain about everything. Thats where I was gong with Myers thereWhat are you talking about with Brett Myers?
Aren't you?Mike Breen sounds so shocked every time a Cav other than lebron makes a good play.
Thank god Gar/Pax traded Bell's rights to GS for cash considerations. Not like Chicago could use him right nowCavs totally jobbed with that foul on bell
Part of me thinks GS is just toying with them but that could come back and burn them. Just go for the jugular and end itIt's amazing either game has been this close. The talent gap is kind of large.
Jerry reinsdorf needs his money, sonThank god Gar/Pax traded Bell's rights to GS for cash considerations. Not like Chicago could use him right now![]()
If Cavs get 2 games it will be amazing.Part of me thinks GS is just toying with them but that could come back and burn them. Just go for the jugular and end it
I haven't really paid enough attention to even know what kind of injury Iggy has to even comment on it.I can't believe how soft these guys are, Iggy has taken off 5 games in a row for a booboo on his knee. Get out there and play, it is the playoffs. He can rest when he is dead.
Can you believe he over on the sidelines laughing and enjoying the game? One of the Cav players should go punch him in his face. You can enjoy a game when you aren't playing.
...and it's not even close.I think I like Lavar Ball more than Steph Curry at this point.
I understand but are you sure you don't mean Randy? He had a wicked arm and temper, from the Reds back in the day. You're talking about Randy Myers. He was talking about how players the younger ones today were entitled and complained and had zero respect for the veteran leaders in the clubhouses, were a bunch of showboaters when things went right but wouldn't hustle when they made a bad play or acted like a drama queen and then complained about being too tired. Don't get the comment. It was more about they did what they wanted to and no matter what didn't complain about doing the job they are paid for despite the bad things they did to their bodies. You mean almost like they realized they weren't at the mercy of the whims of the team owners and league office?
I would like to throw Joakim Noah in that conversation. He wasn't as colorful to put it as Green is but he's definitely a guy you hated if he wasn't on your team and loved on your team. I remember my Sixers freinds hating on Noah when he was with the Bulls. I think Birdman Chris Anderson falls into this category too.Never been a better example of the guy you hate unless he's on your team.
The same number of times he touches the ballHow many shots will Clarkson take in 4 minutes?
Embiid is changing his number to 91 next year.WTF wears #81 in the NBA?
I think he won a fan contest. Is #16 for the Cavs a real basketball player? I really have no idea
