TTP: J.J. Redick agrees to 1-yr deal with PHI
J.J. Redick has agreed to a one-year, $23 million deal with the 76ers, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.com.
Just as this news hit, Redick tweeted "Trust the process," so he is excited about his new team. Redick also said Philly is where he wants to be. It's a win-win for both parties because the 76ers get a short-term deal, so they'll have more cap space when it's time to pay players like Joel Embiid next year, and obviously $23 million is way above market value on Redick for a season. The 76ers have been dying for a floor spacer and they pulled in one of the best ones out there. He'll have an excellent chance to start and could be a late-round target
has been discussed for months, but still glad they could work it out. Apparently JJ wanted a long-term contract and Sixers really wanted to do only 1-years.
