My god 2 missed FT's at the end by Cavs gave Toronto the game tying 3 point shot and LeBron FN James........what other coaches would have gone full court on that ?

I knew once they did that LeBron was driving to the hole if you take it at half court then your taking a long jumper because they are up in your grill.

Toronto having no timeouts helped because if you miss that shot they can't top clock.

Up 14 and missing 3's and leaving them wide open for that 3 hurt my soul but thanks LeBron I don't have to have a miserble rest of the weekend.

Remember when he was first with the Cavs and so many called him not clutch.  Getting on some real teams with some real players helps that first run with the Cavs was garbage players and so he wasn't clutch.

Dwane Casey is commiting head coaching suicide right in front of our eyes.  Single LeBron with the game on the line?  Um, if you say so Dwane.

Last year remember when Cavs lost to GS in the finals everyone said Durant took the torch as the best player in the NBA.  Now everyone keeps saying LeBron is the best player ?  Why they saying this ?  Stephen A Smith #### your the same guy who is saying LeBron is the best player on the planet today but if/when Cavs lose to GS again in the finals you will be saying how Durant is the best player in the NBA because GS has 4 all stars and the Cavs have 1 LeBron.

My idol has always been Magic...one of the most unique and unstoppable and magical athletes ever.

Lebron is better in every way.

Yeah, I can't even really remember those teams.  Was Larry Hughes the 2nd best player on those teams?

Serious question. Is this James' most impressive individual playoff run?
Maybe.  Stats-wise it probably is, but no matter what anyone says, this team is light years better than the team he dragged to the 2007 Finals, but if he keeps putting up monster games like this it'll be hard to argue.  I think he has to match that Finals appearance minimum IMO to say it's his best.

Double teaming Lebron is easier said than done.  He would have found an open teammate which isn't exactly what you want at the buzzer either.

I think so. He's improved his game, particular his shooting, and it's crazy some of the fade-aways he's dropping. On the Spanish station they were debating if he was the most impressive athlete currently playing in any sport. They threw up a few names but came to a consensus pretty quick. Kang!

As soon as they decided to go full length, was stunned they didn't double right away. Would have been near impossible to get it back into his hands for a good shot if forced to get rid of it with the limited time left.

Lebron has Ray Allen to thank for 1 of them though. Riley didn't budge on Lebron's demands during contract time his second go around so Lebron went back to Cleveland who he knew were pushovers. Also in Mia Lebron a very good veteran in D Wade as well as other veterans around. However Lebron did try to get Spoelstra fired early on. Who's to say if he went to Philly he wouldn't try to get Brown fired in the first month? Lebron doesn't like being told what to do. People always get on MJ with coaches but as much as Phil and MJ fought they had a mutual respect there. MJ knew what lines he couldn't cross. I thought it was awful how he and the Cav's went about the Blatt situation. Truly great disrespect there. Just showed you the kind of person player wise this guy was. The James fans will defend him till they are blue in the face but I think Clevland's struggles lately can be contributed to Tyron Lue sucks as a HC and Lebron's micromanaging of the whole roster. IF LAL wants him go ahead. If Philly wants him ok I'll have a nice laugh when he destroys the team and the Sixers are stuck with him out of his prime. Lebron's a great player but he's not the great player I want on my team. I like my stars input but it's not the gospel truth and end all be all decision. I'll take Tim Duncan any day on my team or a Steph Curry. A Lebron no way.
This is awe-inspiring.

Larry Hughes sure thought so.

I think Zydrunas Ilgauskas was probably the second best player on the team, but it was basically Lebron and a bunch of mediocre role players. They were a pretty stout defensively though. Probably Lebron's best defensive team until he went to Miami.

Some brilliant hoops today. I feel bad for Simmons and Long Ball Larry. I feel privileged to witness James pull this ridiculous stuff off.  I'm exhausted. See y'all tomorrow.

I remember thinking Sebastian Telfair was going to be great. :bag:

Actually LeBron played in Cleveland in 2010 as well the year they lost to Boston in the 2nd round.

Unless u mean the 2009-2010 season I always go with the year the season ends.

The craziest thing about Lebron winning that game, is the fact that I've NEVER seen him take a shot like that. A ####### floater off the glass from at least 10 feet out. Literally, you could tell it was an off-the-cuff type of move. He drills it in.

I almost always root against Boston sports. But modogg is a complete fraud of a poster, watching this mental midget try to justify what’s occurring is delightful.

This is extremely uncool.  You should consider a different way to address your disagreements.

hmm, with a user name of Adderall Slim, let's put this all in to context. Fraud of a poster is interesting, so I don't actually like the Sixers? Are you suggesting i enjoy Boston sports scene? Mental midget is cute, glad you came up with that as well.

Ahh, i see you posted this at 5 A.M. this morning. So i am guessing you are not using Adderall for medicinal reasons and you are simply a junkie. Ok, carry on... Look forward to further insight from this fine posting again.

and yes, i am a sucker for  :fishing: attempts from time to time.

ETA: i am guessing an alias for Shamrock Pride? Same posters who start this series crying it won't be a series and now are running all over the place bragging how good they are, calling out Lebron. Worked well for Brown last year

The last 48 hours in this thread is :tfp: .

Even worse than last year during the playoffs.
I avoided this thread for a few years because it was you know. I found that can be mitigated with an ignore list worthy of the political forum. Also my favorite NBA discussion moved behind a subscription wall so when Cappy threatens to take this down...

I haven't missed the implications of me being a contributor now and it being worse than ever either.  :(

Feeling pumped for the early game but it could just be the tequila sunrise mimosas for breakfast.

Ok..... so which was bigger?

Lebron's Shot

Michael's Shot
I am a Cleveland homer, but I have to tip the cap to Michael on this.  Both are difficult shots...Lebron's probably a little more so, but Michael's clinched the game and the series.  The Cavs had dominated the Bulls in the regular season, and Michael's shot was the upset clincher...just a bigger moment overall.

Over his last 30 postseason games, Lebron is averaging 33.5 points, 9.3 rebounds and 8.4 assists, while shooting 55.7% from the floor.  MJ and Kobe have a combined total of 10 playoff games with at least 33 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists in their careers. Zero shooting better than 55%.

A bigger moment for sure, but the shot was pretty standard fare. Lebron broke out some high speed high flying ballet ninja #### we've never seen before then advised us not to try it at home.

Standard fare?  Eh...High pressure moment of a big game, moving to the left, shooting with the right over a defender with a hand in your face...a little more than standard fare IMO.

I never got the lumping an entire teams fans into the same category because of a few knuckleheads. A philly fan should understand.
yeah i definitely do. and it sucks when it happens, because i have seen plenty of Philly fans call out the idiot one's. so you aren't wrong
