I just want to be clear I don't hate him for the actual leaving Cleveland. I hate the theatrics he went about it and then introduction in Mia was overkill. I feel there is people who hate Lebron and don't have a great reason. I'm just really tired of the MJ comparisons as like I just said isn't fair to both. I also thought Blatt got shafted because Gilbert doesn't have big enough balls to tell Lebron know. He bends over and takes it from Lebron routinely because he's so afraid of losing him again. The said fact is he still might leave. I don't mind a star player having input either. They should but they shouldn't be held their opinion hire then the GM or Teams owner final say. You compromise with the player if possible. Tome Gilbert seems like the type of guy you could go into his house and bang his wife in front of and he wouldn't do a dam thing. Like dude grow some balls. Your a team owner and you are letting a player walk all over you who's probably gonna leave anyway.

Just incredible hard as a player to root for especially when your a Bulls fan and have this guy compared to him every step of the way. 1 it's totally different era, 2. Lebron came out from HS and hasn't missed a season so he has roughly 4 1/2 yrs on MJ with his injury and 1 missed season. So I don't think comparing their stats is fair to either guy.

You are nuts, these are the best of the best basketball players in the world. They would adjust, their off season training would be different. The players of the 80's and 90's would become better 3 point shooters, and have access to better training and sports medicine. Just like the guys today would figure out ways to deal with hand checking, and hard fouls.

I'll agree on off season training however I think many are babied and have become incredible entitled.

I didn't think so and I don't care to know who you think it was. I can handle criticism and I've had worst thrown at me on my other board. This is quite tame actually. Heck compared to my board I stepped in the political threads and they are more tame then anything my board had.

I didn't think my above comment was that terrible.  I've really tried to tone down my obnoxious level.  It's about a 5/10 now instead of a 12/10.

 
I do have one question here. Since we have a sub group for Basketball why isn't this thread in that area and instead in this free for all section?

Tried to get SPoelstra fired barely a month into the season with Mia. The disrespect he showed to Blatt and the ring leader to a whole roster being disrespectful to him. If he leaves Cleveland and goes else where this year it's safe to call him a hired Gun or Mercenary that goes to the highest bidder. It shows very little loyalty. I guess I'm old school and hate how the NBA along with other sports are so ####ified now.

That mod post was a reply to tjnc trolling me again, but I've never touched the report button here. I've had him on ignore for days and just now looked back to see if it was directed at me. Not surprised it was. He's weird like that, but it wasn't anywhere near something I would report. I probably wouldn't report death threats though.

Why are you excited to watch the series then?  "Excellent ball" from New Orleans means they lose in five games instead of four.

Theres a temptation to give Boston credit for beating the Bucks because the Bucks just look so good on paper, but for whatever reason the Bucks have been meh all season, and looked pretty meh when I got to watch the series.

Almost all these guys are entitled and have been for a long time(Like 50 + years)  The difference is social media and coverage of sports. It is 24/7/365. There is nothing they can do that is private anymore. 

 
Brown has to realize hes not on the bench with Duncan , Parker, and Manu ..... these are young players  and vets who are limited as specialist. who need help IN Games.... can't play through 20 point runs and have to make sure the team in crunch time is fully aware in the situation . He has to put them in the best situation to win and dumb down / simplify things for them.  It's crazy that a team with Simmons and Embiid is so unathletic...  The athletes Boston has are exposing the rest of the Sixers making them look slow. .... and outside of Simmons the Sixers do not have anyone that can dribble the basketball and take it to the hole strong , Fultz fits this bill but is buried on the bench for no good reason outside a bad 4 min stretch vs Miami.

These issues have been apparent all season long , but get exposed in the Playoffs 

 
Everyone always says how players have to defer to LeBron but not the opposite. No Kyrie on this team shows us how great LeBron is.

 
What a great playoffs.  Even with the 4 series basically being decided, it hasn't been without some drama and excitement.

Looking forward to the next round and hope to see some deeper series going 6-7 games each.

In retrospect, when one of McConnell, Belinelli, Ilyasova, or Redick is your second best shot creator might be a problem when you go against a coach that knows how (and has the athletes) to take away your first option.

crazy thing is the series could very well be Sixers up 2-1. Obviously they aren't, and it is the breakdowns at the end of games, but looking at the series it isn't as horrible as 3-0 would make everyone think. I know Celtics' fans can get very sensitive, so Boston is the better team at this point. 

but i think the whole difference is Stevens. I read a nice article about Tatum's points, and it pointed out that the majority of Tatum's points have been designed plays to exploit against Reddick and Bellinelli. @tjnc09 article from a page or 2 ago points out some of the differences between the wins and losses as well.

I didn't think Sixers had much of a chance in the series. The threes they are making they are still making the crazy off balanced ones that if they shouldn't be making that's kept them in games like the Bellinelli one to tie it. Boston also has better shooters, a better coach and better defense. I think some people got caught in the moment with Philly with their win streak. Boston has exposed a lot of weaknesses the 76ers still have especially in Simmons game offensively and defensively as well as Embiid's post game. The Sixers have a bright future if they can work on their weaknesses but like Brown said Boston is a team who can exploit their weaknesses.
