Watching the Euros with my morning coffee. Moscow, who was co-favored with Istanbul to take this thing, got run out of the semi by Doncic and a healthy Madrid club. Now in the 3rd place game they were being run out by Kaunas, but I am watching an incredible comeback from 22 down. That's equivalent to being down 40 in the nba. 77=79 30 seconds and they get the inbounds turnover!

 
Also I have a Lithuanian niece in law? Is that a thing? Married my nephew anyway. She's trash talked me a dozen times about how superior Lithuanian basketball is to anything else. I laugh but watching right now put attending this event with her on my bucket list. I would love to be in that crowd with a few thousand drunken chanting Lithuanians . She's pretty excited on social media atm, but it's in languages that are greek to me. Google translator came up with, "better to torture Moscow than kill it." :lol:

1st quarter of the championship game and Madrid falls behind to start, again Doncic gets a rest, and again threes start raining. Madrid 21 Istanbul 17. Llull from Madrid the best player on the court. Also these games are beautifully officiated.

Madrid's played great. They're up 5 with 30 seconds to go. Doncic padded his stats from the line in the last two minutes as Istanbul's been forced to foul. He's made two terrible turnovers and committed two dumb fouls in the last minute when his team is trying not to foul and run the clock. He's fouled out. He may be hailed as the wonder boy who led Madrid to this championship, and he's surely the best player out there, but NBA top three draft pick? No. Three point game 22 seconds. Madrid misses both free throws but gets the board and the follow. Ouch!

It is funny the way you say that, and how many people either like LeBron and hate the Warriors or love the Warriors and hate LeBron. They are both a lot of fun to watch, but if you judge by this thread it is the 8th deadly sin to like both.

I like the Warriors. I like good basketball. 

The hate for LeBron and Golden State comes from a place of jealousy. (Mostly I don't want to paint with a broad brush).

I only have hate in my heart for Rob Hennigan. F that guy.

I've been thinking the same thing but you never know. My "scouting" (which should just be considered no more than semi-distracted observations) has been wrong often enough. I like Fultz enough, preferred Smith Jr. to Mitchell, etc. If he was a lights out shooter, I'd be way more positive, but he's just average.

i was thinking of the last 4 Western conference finals, and it seems like this Houston team was being propped up more then that OKC team. With the rumors that Klay will take a pay cut to stay in GS, i don't know how this team will not represent the West for the next 4-5 years.

Everyone on GS has sucked except Durant tonight.  Sure was lucky for GS that Durant and OKC choked that 3-1 lead away and that Durant just happened to be a FA that year.  They might have never won another championship without him.
