Wow. Serious spanking by Georgia must sting for Gators fans. Mark Richt must be pissed.McElwain officially out. Randy Shannon interim. Players unhappy about how they were told.
@Ldelrio12: Gotta love finding these things out through twitter.... a heads up would’ve been nice
This is the media voting so we will see what the committee does Tuesday. But the committee has made it clear they look at whole resume and not just a head to head outcome. Most of this will likely sort itself out over the next month too.So here we go again. 1-loss Ohio State is ranked ahead of:
1. Undefeated Wisconsin from the same conference
2. 1-loss Oklahoma who beat them head-to-head.

Oklahoma can ignore Ohio State being ranked ahead of them. If Oklahoma beats TCU and Oklahoma State to win out their schedule, then they'll get into the playoff before an 11-1 Ohio State would. So here we go again. 1-loss Ohio State is ranked ahead of:

murderers rowBadgers still with Iowa & Michigan at home & Minnesota on the road
they always seem to fumble away one or two that they shouldn't
I would disagree. If OSU wins out and is B1G champ, they are in regardless or whatever else happens.Oklahoma can ignore Ohio State being ranked ahead of them. If Oklahoma beats TCU and Oklahoma State to win out their schedule, then they'll get into the playoff before an 11-1 Ohio State would.
The only reason Oklahoma is ranked lower than OSU now is because of the shock value of losing to Iowa State, which isn't looking as bad now. It also doesn't help that they let teams like Baylor and Kansas hang around so long. But none of what they've done in Big 12 play is worthy of losing a spot to Ohio State in the playoffs. Oklahoma would have to lose a second time before Ohio State could be taken before them.
As for Ohio State being ranked ahead of Wisconsin, so what? Notre Dame, Clemson, and Penn State should be ranked ahead of them too. Their biggest accomplishment this year is beating Northwestern.
I think ND does too since 11-1 finish likely puts them in.I would disagree. If OSU wins out and is B1G champ, they are in regardless or whatever else happens.
There are certainly some crazy scenarios that could play out this year, and very few teams that truly control their own destinies. I would say that Alabama, Georgia, Ohio State, Wisconsin, Clemson and Miami are the only teams that can say they truly control their own destiny based on conference titles, etc.
ND is a strong possibility, but a Big12 Champ could possibly confound that one, like Oklahoma. The other 6 will weed out 3 of them, in all likelihood. Still do not think the committee will do 2 from one conference. But I would say that ND and Oklahoma both sort of share a single control your destiny slot, but do not have it entirely. Gonna get crazy in November.I think ND does too since 11-1 finish likely puts them in.
After all that? I doubt I can, noPolitician Spock said:Can you give any examples of bad coaching in the second half?
I doubt you can too. Because it wasn't bad coaching in the 2nd half that caused them to loose. The coaching staff didn't change anything. After all that? I doubt I can, no![]()
The reason why OSU came back from that lead is because the OSU defense contained Barkely.1st quarter: 6 for 9 passing for 43 yards and 1 TD, 4 rushes for -6 yards (13 plays for 37 yards)
2nd quarter: 3 for 5 passing for 27 yards, 4 rushes for 21 yards and 1 TD (9 plays for 48 yards)
3rd quarter: 4 for 6 passing for 72 yards and 1 TD, 1 rush for 12 yards (7 plays for 84 yards)
4th quarter: 4 for 9 passing for 50 yards, 4 rushes for 22 yards (13 plays for 72 yards)
Those are pretty awesome stats to have at just 11:40 to go in the 2nd quarter. But here are his stats from that point on for the rest of the game:3 carries for 35 yards and a TD, 3 catches for 23 yards, 1 kick return for 97 yards and 1 TD (7 plays for 155 yards and 2 TDs)
That's all he could do for the last 41:40 of the game. So much for his Heisman chances.18 carries for 9 yards, 1 catch for 0 yards, 1 kick return for 8 yards (20 plays for 17 yards).
I think Bryce Love is incredible, but he may lose too many votes int he South, Mid Atlantic and NE. Blame it on ECB or whatever, or I may be full of crap, but I don't think he's gonna get votes enough across the country to matter.I don't know that Barkley lost the Heisman yesterday....i mean, he did return the opening kickoff to the house.
Bryce Love didn't play Thursday. Think he's the biggest challenger to Barkley though Mayfield might have something to say about it too.
He'll force their hand if he picks up where he left off and finishes the year with a ridiculous > 10 YPC. His toughest tests are ahead, though.I think Bryce Love is incredible, but he may lose too many votes int he South, Mid Atlantic and NE. Here is everything Barkley did in the 4th quarter, when his team needed him the most:I don't know that Barkley lost the Heisman yesterday....i mean, he did return the opening kickoff to the house.
The only time he got positive yards from scrimmage was on two 3rd and long plays, where he came up more than 10 yards short of a first down both times. The other six plays he cost his team 19 yards and the loss of 6 downs. His kick return to only the 15 also set OSU up with great field position for their game winning score, especially after he proceeded to lose 9 more yards on the next two plays.1st and 10 at OSU 42: (12:45 - 4th) Saquon Barkley run for a loss of 7 yards to the OhSt 49
3rd and 17 at OSU 49: (12:21 - 4th) Saquon Barkley run for 6 yds to the OhSt 43
1st and 20 at PSU 43: (10:00 - 4th) Trace McSorley pass complete to Saquon Barkley for no gain to the PnSt 43
3rd and Goal at OSU 3: (6:22 - 4th) Saquon Barkley run for a loss of 3 yards to the OhSt 6
OSU kicks off: (4:20 - 4th) Sean Nuernberger kickoff for 58 yds , Saquon Barkley return for 8 yds to the PnSt 15
1st and 10 at PSU 15: (4:10 - 4th) Saquon Barkley run for a loss of 7 yards to the PnSt 8
2nd and 17 at PSU 8: (4:00 - 4th) Saquon Barkley run for a loss of 2 yards to the PnSt 6
3rd and 19 at PSU 6: (3:21 - 4th) Saquon Barkley run for 5 yds to the PnSt 11
1st and 10 at PSU 41: (1:45 - 4th) Trace McSorley pass incomplete to Saquon Barkley
Scott Frost's Wiki page lists him as the head coach of Florida.![]()
I see your point, but there's no way he lost the Heisman because he only scored twice against Ohio State. He's still got my vote, and it's not that close. Assuming, of course, that they ask me for my vote. Here is everything Barkley did in the 4th quarter, when his team needed him the most:

Can Arkansas afford to fire fat Brat?I'm pretty annoyed that UF pulled the trigger on McElwain. The last thing Razorbacks need is competition for coaches this offseason.
I really don't mean this to be a ####, but Florida and Arkansas aren't competing for the same coaches.I'm pretty annoyed that UF pulled the trigger on McElwain. The last thing Razorbacks need is competition for coaches this offseason.
$10m and $5m a year respectivelyJaxBill said:In the unlikely event that report pan out, if Gruden is worth 10 Mil, what are Saban or Dabo worth?
I dunno? Always being in the shadow on OU has to get old after awhile. Getting to recruit 5 stars every year instead of 2 and 3 stars has to be tempting. I don't know if Pickens let him leave. Some Gator fans are talking Gundy. He's never leaving OSU, right? Going to be there until he's Bill Snyder's age?

I'll send him my jean shorts if that will help get him.Bringing the mullet back all on his own.
Well he did have a serial killer on the teamIt was too stressful, remember?
There are people talking about Spurrier returning to the sideline. It's insanity.lol wut
Chris Collinsworth is available for the right priceThere are people talking about Spurrier returning to the sideline. It's insanity.
I agree with you there.I think Kelly to Florida is more realistic than Gruden to Tennessee.![]()
I don’t think so. OSU is peaking now and OU is treading water. I think the committee is looking for the hottest team. In hindsight the Bucks were still adjusting to a new coaching staff and new wrinkles in the offense. I do think OSU beats OU by two TD’s if played today. If OU and OSU win out, and the playoff comes down to selecting one of them for the 4th and final spot, then it goes to OU without question. These OSU would win if they played now arguments are worthless in regards to the playoffs. OU won, so speculation on what would happen if they played again doesn't matter at all.
That said, I would love to see both teams get in and have a rematch.![]()

Let Penn State win out so they are 11-1 with only a 1 point loss on the road against one of the potential playoff teams. For the sake of really of making the decision as hard as possible in order to further move the needle in the direction of an eight team playoff, I'd love if Alabama, OU, OSU, Clemson and ND win out and Georgia's only loss comes in the SEC title game. That's six teams that would have very good resumes for only 4 spots.
I was considering PSU as well, but then I thought Wisconsin needs to be added as well if their only loss is in the big ten title game and I'd rather not the way the rest of their schedule looks.Let Penn State win out so they are 11-1 with only a 1 point loss on the road against one of the potential playoff teams.
Really, what will cause the playoff to expand would be seeing Bama, UGA, and ND making it where Clemson, Ohio St (or PSU) and Oklahoma are fighting for one spot.
