This is the media voting so we will see what the committee does Tuesday. But the committee has made it clear they look at whole resume and not just a head to head outcome. Most of this will likely sort itself out over the next month too.So here we go again. 1-loss Ohio State is ranked ahead of:
1. Undefeated Wisconsin from the same conference
2. 1-loss Oklahoma who beat them head-to-head.
By the way, I expect them to rank UGA #1 Tuesday based on the road win at Notre Dame.

Oklahoma can ignore Ohio State being ranked ahead of them. If Oklahoma beats TCU and Oklahoma State to win out their schedule, then they'll get into the playoff before an 11-1 Ohio State would.So here we go again. 1-loss Ohio State is ranked ahead of:

The only reason Oklahoma is ranked lower than OSU now is because of the shock value of losing to Iowa State, which isn't looking as bad now. It also doesn't help that they let teams like Baylor and Kansas hang around so long. But none of what they've done in Big 12 play is worthy of losing a spot to Ohio State in the playoffs. Oklahoma would have to lose a second time before Ohio State could be taken before them.
As for Ohio State being ranked ahead of Wisconsin, so what? Notre Dame, Clemson, and Penn State should be ranked ahead of them too. Their biggest accomplishment this year is beating Northwestern.

I would disagree. If OSU wins out and is B1G champ, they are in regardless or whatever else happens.
There are certainly some crazy scenarios that could play out this year, and very few teams that truly control their own destinies. I would say that Alabama, Georgia, Ohio State, Wisconsin, Clemson and Miami are the only teams that can say they truly control their own destiny based on conference titles, etc.

ND is a strong possibility, but a Big12 Champ could possibly confound that one, like Oklahoma. The other 6 will weed out 3 of them, in all likelihood. Still do not think the committee will do 2 from one conference. But I would say that ND and Oklahoma both sort of share a single control your destiny slot, but do not have it entirely. Gonna get crazy in November.

Three of Penn State's touchdowns were because of three HUGE OSU mistakes: 1) a kickoff returned for a TD; 2) an OSU fumble that gave them the ball again on OSU's 23 that they converted for a TD; and a kickoff returned to the OSU 23 that they also converted to a TD. That's 21 points from only 46 yards of PSU offense and only 3:22 of clock. The only way to continue that pace would be for OSU to keep screwing up. That didn't happen, but that's not Penn State's coaches fault. OSU finally got it together.
If you look at what PSU did when OSU didn't hand them gifts, they were pretty consistent in both halves: They were 1 for 4 scoring on drives starting in their own territory in the 1st half, and 2 for 6 scoring on drives starting in their own territory in the 2nd half. Penn State gained 130 yards in the first half and 153 yards in the 2nd half. And they used McSorely consistently in every quarter.
The reason why OSU came back from that lead is because the OSU defense contained Barkely.
After Barkley burnt OSU twice, OSU shut him down for the rest of the game. Here are his stats just after his 36 yard TD run in the 2nd quarter:
Those are pretty awesome stats to have at just 11:40 to go in the 2nd quarter. But here are his stats from that point on for the rest of the game:
That's all he could do for the last 41:40 of the game. So much for his Heisman chances.
If you want to blame someone at Penn State for the loss, blame Barkely for his crappy production on the last 20 times he touched the ball.
Or instead of blaming someone on Penn State for the loss, give OSU credit for finding a way to beat Penn State despite all the mistakes they made.

I don't know that Barkley lost the Heisman yesterday....i mean, he did return the opening kickoff to the house.
Bryce Love didn't play Thursday. Think he's the biggest challenger to Barkley though Mayfield might have something to say about it too.

I think Bryce Love is incredible, but he may lose too many votes int he South, Mid Atlantic and NE. Blame it on ECB or whatever, or I may be full of crap, but I don't think he's gonna get votes enough across the country to matter.

Here is everything Barkley did in the 4th quarter, when his team needed him the most:
The only time he got positive yards from scrimmage was on two 3rd and long plays, where he came up more than 10 yards short of a first down both times. The other six plays he cost his team 19 yards and the loss of 6 downs. His kick return to only the 15 also set OSU up with great field position for their game winning score, especially after he proceeded to lose 9 more yards on the next two plays.
ETA: His 3rd quarter stats sucked too: 8 carries for 5 yards

I see your point, but there's no way he lost the Heisman because he only scored twice against Ohio State. He's still got my vote, and it's not that close. Assuming, of course, that they ask me for my vote.

I dunno? Always being in the shadow on OU has to get old after awhile. Getting to recruit 5 stars every year instead of 2 and 3 stars has to be tempting. I don't know if Pickens let him leave.

I don’t think so. OSU is peaking now and OU is treading water. I think the committee is looking for the hottest team. In hindsight the Bucks were still adjusting to a new coaching staff and new wrinkles in the offense. I do think OSU beats OU by two TD’s if played today.If OU and OSU win out, and the playoff comes down to selecting one of them for the 4th and final spot, then it goes to OU without question. These OSU would win if they played now arguments are worthless in regards to the playoffs. OU won, so speculation on what would happen if they played again doesn't matter at all.
That said, I would love to see both teams get in and have a rematch.

I don't think OU is going to do it. But if they win out, they will have beaten OkSU on the road, TCU, WVU, and either OkSU/TCU a second time or revenged their loss to ISU. That ain't treading water.

For the sake of really of making the decision as hard as possible in order to further move the needle in the direction of an eight team playoff, I'd love if Alabama, OU, OSU, Clemson and ND win out and Georgia's only loss comes in the SEC title game. That's six teams that would have very good resumes for only 4 spots.

Let Penn State win out so they are 11-1 with only a 1 point loss on the road against one of the potential playoff teams.
Really, what will cause the playoff to expand would be seeing Bama, UGA, and ND making it where Clemson, Ohio St (or PSU) and Oklahoma are fighting for one spot.

I was considering PSU as well, but then I thought Wisconsin needs to be added as well if their only loss is in the big ten title game and I'd rather not the way the rest of their schedule looks.
