2017 College Football Thread: Hawaiian QB devastated to find out Jesus was "kinda rooting for Georgia" (2 Viewers)

Paul Johnson is the guy who goes to holiday dinners and tells every single family member there exactly what he thinks of them. I love him.

My only problem with him is he will absolutely throw the kicker and the kid who fumbled under the bus - it's one thing for some idiot (me) to do that on a message board but I don't like it when he does it.  When he's honest and talks #### to other teams and coaches - that I love.

I'm not a Florida State fan, but why is everybody acting like their season is over? They lost a close game to the best team in the country, but played with them most of the way and the Seminoles defense looked just about as good. I know their starting QB is gone for the year, but this is a great team that nobody wants to play. Who else is favored to beat them, besides maybe Clemson? Florida State is just as likely as anybody else to be in the last four, IMO.

They have Louisville and Florida.  And NC State has the talent to beat them.

All of those teams could beat them. And I know Louisville crushed them last year (still can't believe that result), but do you honestly favor Fla St to lose any of those games? I don't.

Florida looked like crap against Michigan. And Louisville struggled with Purdue. So I don't know that you can call them fearsome opponents at this point.

Without Francois I favor Clemson and Louisville 50/50.  Florida have to see how things are going that game is three months away.  FSU defense is still elite but offense took a huge hit

You realize teams don't play the same every week?  We don't really know how good or bad anyone is.  A lot is still paper predictions based on talent. Florida has talent. So does Louisville.

Because the difference between a good and bad season at FSU is making the playoffs. Which means style points count. Teams don't usually make a lot of style points when they are breaking in a new QB. Even if they end up winning the ACC, there are several other teams out there who are going to have a better chance to pass the eye test this season.

FWIW, after the Francois injury ESPN analytics now place Auburn as a tougher opponent than FSU for Clemson this season.

Notre Dame opens as a 6.5 point favorite against Georgia. Bet the house on Georgia.

Seriously, Michel and Chubb go for over 300 yards against the run defense. ND won't be able to keep up, and no way in hell, even if they do win, will it be by a TD or more. No way.
