I never expect to beat UGA but they did beat them last year and I think three years ago tooWe can dream. I still have the 2015 FSU game with the Lance Austin blocked kick return on my DVR.

Well yeah, but UGA is better than usual this year.I never expect to beat UGA but they did beat them last year and I think three years ago too
Oh yeah, I got the USC game wrong too. That's in Athens.Plot twist, The Auburn/Georgia game is in Auburn this year.
Interesting. I wonder what the stats are for the number of called penalties, as opposed to that one which I assume is the number of accepted penalties. Do blowout wins lead to more declined penalties in order to take the results of the play? Which would be an interesting thing to look at for blowouts versus closer games in general. Don't know of a source to even start to get at that. For NFL you could maybe build a data set from PFR's play by play tool though even that might take a lot of work. I don't know of a play by play source at all for CFB.Teams go from 7 penalties/game to 3.7 vs Bama.
All the more reason why that Washington loss at ASU is easily the most head-scratching game I have watched all season.Tom Servo said:It ***IS*** the Pac-12 you're talking about; everyone knows that defense is optional west of the Rockies.![]()
Also the # of offensive and total plays/game for those teams on average vs the Alabama games. Both probably lower than normal if Bama is just plowing over people and keeping the clock running.Interesting. I thought about that too, and that leads to even more questions since you can be penalized both on offense and defense. Also the # of offensive and total plays/game for those teams on average vs the Alabama games. Washington can play a little defense. But that's about it.Tom Servo said:It ***IS*** the Pac-12 you're talking about; everyone knows that defense is optional west of the Rockies.![]()
Missing 20 yard chip shots are not the hallmarks of a playoff caliber team. Inexcusable. All the more reason why that Washington loss at ASU is easily the most head-scratching game I have watched all season.
But ASU had given up > 30 points a game for an eternity. No reason the kicker should have even needed to get off the plane for that one.Missing 20 yard chip shots are not the hallmarks of a playoff caliber team. Inexcusable.
In 2016, Alabama outscored their opponents 582 to 195. I think something's up.Teams go from 7 penalties/game to 3.7 vs Bama.
Do you mean the school, or the state? What are the odds that QB from Arizona is thrown into the Heisman race?
I assume that he is talking specifically about Tate.Do you mean the school, or the state?
Jake Plummer finished 3rd in the 1996 race.
Yes, I am referring to TateI assume that he is talking specifically about Tate.
It was a weird game. It was a bad game. It might have been a different game had the kicker made those kicks. Good teams can lose to bad teams in a season - see Ohio State vs V. Tech in 2014.But ASU had given up > 30 points a game for an eternity. No reason the kicker should have even needed to get off the plane for that one.
denyWell, looks like Michigan is starting Peters in the Little Brown Jug game. Probably the best option, to help the kid learn.
Side note, living somewhat near FAU, they're claiming their running back is getting Heisman hype. Can anyone confirm or deny?
I thought the biggest loser aired on weeknights. No TV for 11 AM Baylor at Kansas?![]()
Shots fired.I thought the biggest loser aired on weeknights.
If only they had delayed the game in Ann Arbor a few weeks ago, maybe O'Korn wouldn't have sucked so badSounds like the weather delay in Spartyville could be lengthy
ETA They said weather system is coming out of South Bend. Dammit Notre Dame

Ironically this will put game in direct competition with Notre Dame.4PM estimated time to resume
Miss State finally ahead of UMASS. Gator boosters with sigh of relief.
Now saying 5. Just looked at radar and it’s a huge cell4PM estimated time to resume
ABC pre game said 5:30 now.. wtfNow saying 5. Just looked at radar and it’s a huge cell
Where do you see that?Florida is terrible but they really are a shell of themselves talent-wise...in addition to all the suspensions, they’ve got the 7th most talented roster in the SEC according to 247. Mac does not recruit.
