By the same logic the undefeated lame-### Western Michigan team should've been in last year. 

They got crushed by a so-so Wisconsin team. 

 
Nice math there Etling.  4th and 15, throw a duck into the turf for a receiver 10 yards downfield.  I'm beginning to think LSU has some voodoo curse on its offense that overwhelms any coaching or player talent.

Why?

No arguing Clemson, Oklahoma, or Georgia... So they put Bama in, I don’t see what is criminal there. The bookmakers opened Bama as the favorite against the #1 seed - seems like they got the 4 best :shrug:

They obviously got the 4 best. Anybody who thinks ucf is better than Bama is crazy.

I don't think anyone is arguing this. Only that a team that goes undefeated (and just beat Auburn) gets at least a chance to compete for the national championship.

Sure but anybody who thinks UCF couldn’t beat Alabama is crazy too.  It’s not inconsistent to think UCF isn’t worthy of top 4 with their resume but want to see them get a shot - that’s why I want 8 teams.  

 
I don't want to speak for GM, but I don't think he meant UCF literally pulverized Auburn, since that would be like 85 felonies, not to mention disgusting and unfit for broadcast television.

The better approach would be to pick the four teams AFTER the bowl games.

this would allow the UCFs and Boise States of the world a chance to either prove or expose themselves

it would also make the bowl games meaningful again, since any number of games between highly regarded teams could impact who gets chosen...
