2018 College Football Thread: Local man buys some teenage champions a 4 for 4 (3 Viewers)

remember when it was said that college was better than the NFL?
There's no denying the competitive balance isn't there at the top of college football in the past 3-4 years.  I'd argue last year wasn't so bad.  Auburn who didn't make the playoff was 2-2 against playoff teams, including 2-1 against the two teams in the final.  Alabama/Georgia was a great game and Oklahoma/UGA could have gone either way as well.  So with Alabama, Clemson, Georgia, Oklahoma, and Auburn last year I'd say that was a much better season.

I remember catching hell here because I said Georgia should be in after they lost a close one to Bama.
“But they just LOST and don’t deserve it!” said people who just count losses because they don’t know who the best football teams are.

I wanted #1 Alabama to play #8 UCF, and #4 Oklahoma to get their ### kicked by #5 Georgia.

And #6 OSU would have kicked #3 ND's ###.

That's a personal foul? Man F U college football. That's just a guy pushing someone to the whistle on a play that normally doesn't have it.

This might shock you but I don’t have a vote. Notre Dame wasn’t getting left out, even if they weren’t one of the 4 best teams.
So then what is your point? It’s literally the same argument you’re making for UGA. People here told you it wasn’t going to happen with UGA and they were right. How is one more practical than the other? Be consistent

OU has good linebackers, the rest of it is tragic. I have no idea how you can recruit all these awesome WRs and the only good DB we’ve had in a decade is Tony Jefferson.

Georgia finished 5th. Maybe it wasn’t close but the committee guy said it was so

You’re taking this personal because you’re team is getting sandblasted but I have nothing against OU. I was rooting for them tonight.
