I disagree. Wasted money imo but meh. OJH was dealt a terrible hand having to play with Winston so it's not like he was going to be a top 3 TE anytime anyway.

I know Bree's history is to maximize every dollar. If he sees Cousins land a 3 year guaranteed contract in the $80-90M range I just got to feel like Brees is going to up his demands, maybe he wants $50-60M over next two seasons? Right now is a totally UFA and to me still the best FA QB on the market for next season at least and it's just assumed he is going to agree with Saints on new deal. I'm just not so sure.

Just said on @nflnetwork: The #Vikings have made a call on Drew Brees, per league source. Their plan going into the day was to engage agents for all their QB options. Well, Brees is technically available. No stone unturned.

Compensation for Cordy Glenn trade: Bills and Bengals swap 1st Round picks. Bills go to 12. Bengals go to 21. Teams also swap 5th and 6th round picks.

Yea and what is the worst case for the Vikings, that they end up driving up his price and the team that almost knocked them out of the playoffs last year and is one of their competitors has to use more cap space to retain him? Win/win.

to clarify it is

Bengals 1st and 6th for Bills 1st and 5th in terms of that end of the trade.

Love it for my Bengals and think it is good for the Bills too.

Terms will be interesting. Rumors were that he wanted in the low $20s million. Will this be a 1-2 year deal or longer? Hmm.

Jeff Legwold says the Broncos signed him to be the qb of the present and future.

Feels like McCarron won the battle but will end up losing the war.  Woulda been best off for him for that trade fax to go through last year.

I guess in theory they still have Paxton Lynch as a potential long term option behind Keenum - should Keenum show that last year was an aberation.

Reportedly 3 years/$42 million. With the money given to Marquise Goodwin, I thought Robinson would actually command more.

Watkins to San Francisco then?

Seems like these are both really good places for both players. Only places that seem better imo would have been back to Minnesota for Case and San Fran for Robinson.

My dak for mahomes trade just got a bump. Not where I expected to see the top 2 fa go. Some good landing spots for rookies leftover.

Pretty steep drop after the first tier - Pryor, Lee, Moncrief, Richardson, Decker, and Matthews are probably up next. Cam Meredith (RFA) will probably draw a lot of interest.

With Denver signing Keenum, I think we’re starting to see why Washington moved on from Cousins. Make a decision man. You’ve had two years to decide where you wanted to go outside of Washington.

Wow. Chiefs weren't even on my list of possibilities. But I do really like it for the team. 

That'sa scary offense if Watkins can rebound. Tyreek, Kelce, Sammy, Hunt... Probably not the best place for Watkins FF value but :eek:

I figure it’s better than Jacksonville or Chicago. SF would have been ideal but I’ll take an Andy Reid offense with a big arm QB.

I dunno. Seems reasonable to want to meet with the coaches etc he'll be working with over the next several years, and he can't do that before Wednesday. Other players need to strike immediately while the iron's hot but Kirk knows he's gonna get paid and can afford to do some visits.
