Apparently the semifinals were originally scheduled for New Year’s Eve. That meant the championship couldn’t be the following Monday 1/6 because there wouldn’t be at least a week off so it got moved to 1/13. 

Then the semis were changed to 12/28 but the NCAA said they couldn’t move the championship game since it was already locked in for 1/13.

On both NFL and CFB levels, they are defaulting to TO/TD call and letting review adjust.  Not the right way to go, but what they are doing.  Review got it correct.
