Watching the highlights - that big hit on Burrow in the first half seemed like 47 led With his head on that one too. Kid needs to keep his head up or he’s going to hurt himself

Will always remember O announcing Kiffin arriving to a crowd in LA for the USC job, from Knoxville, with ‘look at the big balls on this guy’.

From Kiffin’s b#### to a Cajun legend.
He don't need an anchor when he goes alligator hunting.

Congratulations to the LSU fans.

So- how good is this team? Seems like, statistically they belong among the all time greats. Watching them, I felt the same way. Outside of Ohio State whom they did not play, they pretty much crushed all of the other teams considered really good this year: Alabama, Georgia, Oklahoma, now Clemson. That’s extremely impressive, I can’t think of any of the other great teams that had such an impressive schedule and results.

Using the final CFP rankings, they of course were 1st.  They beat 6 of the 12 remaining top 13 teams.  Clemson, Oklahoma, Georgia, Florida, Auburn, and Alabama.  They also won at Texas, and beat the rest of the SEC West along the way. When Texas and Texas A&M are probably your 7th and 8th toughest opponents that's a pretty tough schedule.

Damn that’s even better than I thought.

Also good.that I got them.at 25:1 back in August.  Not that I'm super smart or anything, I do it every year, but I've paid for all of them now and a few going forward. 👍

Enjoy it.  It's a special season.  My father in law is an LSU baseball alum.  I have to send him the congratulatory text.

I was at the game for LSU’s last 2 championships, was at home with family (only) for this one but it’s amazing what a great season this is. Arguably LSU’s best team ever, better than 1958. I don’t feel ridiculous asking how this team ranks among all time national champions. Just spectacular.

‘20 favorites:

Clemson, Bama, LSU, Ohio State, UGA
I like Clemson, Bama, and OSU off that list.  I saw enough of Mac Jones to know he can run Bama's offense.  LSU and UGA are going to have some QB question marks.  But hard to deny the talent they have all over the field.

My dad went to LSU in the early 70's.  Just talked with him and he was saying this was the most enjoyable season he's had watching the Tigers, even compared to the other championship teams.  Such a force on offense and once the defense got healthier it was almost unfair.  What a team.

They didn't crush Alabama.

I mean - they beat Alabama at Alabama. That is very impressive. LSU was definitely the best team this year. But that was only a 5 point game.

Congrats to all our LSU fans!  What a great season and great football team.  The best team won tonight.  I'm proud of my Clemson Tigers too.  Another good season and there's no reason to think they won't be back next year.  Lots of people back and a good freshman class this spring.

Trevor was off tonight but he'll be back and better.  Burrows was doing Burrows things.  Magical year for him.  Good luck with the Bengals.

LSU WRs were better than Clemson's DBs.  The defensive back field has been a spot of weakness (in terms of pass coverage) this season.  Figured Clemson would need to score in the 40s to win.  Offense just didn't get it done.

Congrats to LSU for a fantastic and historic season.  Sad that college football is over.

It was 33-13 at half and LSU had an 86.7% win probability . Give credit to Bama for making the score respectable but come on.

Not that Lawrence isn’t really, really good but after watching last night and the whole season, I think I’d rather have the #1 pick this year rather than next.

He had a bad game, he’s still easily worth a top pick.  I thought the play calling was weird last night. They didn’t give him easy throws to settle in and didn’t get Etienne the ball enough.

I wonder if Lawrence didn’t have a lingering shoulder injury from the OSU game when Young got him up around the neck.

Hmmm. It’s an interesting question. Lawrence was the presumed best prospect since Luck. I think it was just a bad game, he’s been amazing.

Burrow might be the most accurate qb I’ve ever seen. Does he have the arm strength for the nfl though? Not saying he’s noodle arming throws but it doesn’t seem like top of the grade.

Agree and I wasn't trying to disparage Lawrence - just more really impressed with what Burrow did all year.  Lawrence seems more the direction that the NFL is headed but Burrow just seems so unflappable and can put the ball on a dime.  I'd take either on my team.

As a fan of good football, last nights game delivered.    Two great teams with talent all over the field that are led by superb coaches are fun to watch.   Clemson should have run the ball more but the LSU offense is too much for any team.

I would happily take next year's #1 pick.  I think #2 will be a pretty good pick too.

Both teams deserved to be there, Clemson put up a good fight, LSU fully deserved to be the National Champs.  Congrats and hats off to LSU, players, coaches and staff on a job well done and sincerest congrats to LSU fans.

Some of those throws of his remind me of Aaron Rodgers. Just watching the ball coming out of his hand and following it into the absolute perfect spot. Hard to describe but if you line up the two you can see it.

He has the ability to really fire the ball in but I think when you have that kind of accuracy, putting more air under it and letting your receivers get to that perfect spot is more effective.

I wonder where Burrow's season ranks among the all time great QB seasons in college football. Obviously he has the most TD passes ever. But he was amazing all season. One of the best I remember seeing.

I also think Burrow has the best kind of mobility for a QB at the next level. Enough where he can use his legs when he needs to, can improvise and make plays happen, but not too much mobility/speed where you have to worry about him quitting on plays early or taking too much of a beating when running.

Of course being behind a terrible OL in the pros could change things.

Has to be one of the best, if not the best, ever.  He was flawless this year.

Other than last year 2nd half and the '14 OSU-Oregon game, the CFP Champ Game has been really good.

Bigmarc, do you ever go to Tigernet? Yeesh. They're talking like a high school JV team beat Clemson, and it was all BS and bad calls and cheating and bad LSU fans and ... and  ... and ...

What exactly were these fans expecting? I guess every homer board is like that, and guess it's only 0.001% of fans, but dang.
