2020-21 NBA *Playoffs* Thread: Bucks are the champs and you can take that to the bank bromigos (3 Viewers)

Both of these teams are awful defensively. It’s beautiful.
it really is pretty interesting. i guess like 20 years ago the big 4 sports all started changing rules to get more offense/points. You would have to think there has to be a ceiling to that, but with the NBA 80% of fans and national media nut-hug ppg so much it just seems like it won't go away.

Really is an interesting argument what it does to the game in the long run. I remember reading a story years ago about how kids in middle school and AAU go to a practice and everybody just jacks up 3s to even start now. Coaches push it as well. Just wonder what the game will look like in 5-8 years if it keeps getting pushed and pushed.

I am sure it will even out and you will get defensive swings again, is just such a strange thing. Particularly when the leagues change the rules to promote it more and more.

From Dan Feldman —

Most points in a playoff first quarter since 1997 (as far back as basketballreference has data):

Michael Porter Jr. (tonight): 22
LeBron James (2010 CLE-BOS): 21
Gordon Hayward (2017 UTA-LAC): 21
LeBron James (2018 CLE-BOS): 21
Nikola Jokic (2020 DEN-UTA): 21
Well, to update the list: :lmao:

Devin Booker (tonight): 22
Michael Porter Jr. (tonight): 22
LeBron James (2010 CLE-BOS): 21
Gordon Hayward (2017 UTA-LAC): 21
LeBron James (2018 CLE-BOS): 21
Nikola Jokic (2020 DEN-UTA): 21

This. Is. Awesome.

Suns up by 28 midway through the 2nd.  Can't remember seeing an NBA team just quit in the playoffs like this.

Lebron showing why he is just a few pubic hairs short of Jordan. Doubt he would ever go out with such a whimper. Where does he go next to try and win another ring and who tags along?

So I understand Lebron does this to himself by lobbying for Anthony Davis which cash-straps the Lakers, but they currently have Schroder-KCP-the bad Morris twin-Wes Mathews-Talen Horton-Tucker on the floor in an elimination game. I never realized how bad this team is.
