2020-21 NBA *Playoffs* Thread: Bucks are the champs and you can take that to the bank bromigos (5 Viewers)

It is amazing how often you are wrong.
lol, with what? Lou Williams wanting to retire after the trade? Or are you upset because i referenced Griffin's pouting and tanking as a better way for Lou to keep his career going?

and def not wrong with Shake, happy for the kid. Has been a super frustrating few weeks for him, real glad he has shaken out of his horrendous slump

About Blake. He did none of that. You are salty because he looks competent on a team that you don't think the 76ers can beat.

I have no idea what Thybulle can do when he is guarding Trae. Trae drives, and pushes off Thybulle, and gets the call every time. He keeps going back and back to it, and I just have no idea what they should tell Thybulle to do

game is less stressful when the bench can actually score. Fun seeing George Hill playing inspired on defense too

Also fun not seeing Embiid choke Shake and them getting along

funny how Embiid forced his way back into this game. Big guy should be resting, but he just wants to cook Capella over and over.

Odd to put Embiid back in with the bench playing this well up 20 with 6:30 left.
Embiid kind of demanded Doc let him go back in. He is at a point that it is hard to tell him to not go back in.

it is a dumb move by Embiid who should be resting with the hope of stealing game 3, but maybe him playing more is what he needs to get back in full game shape

Playoffs. Game was still in doubt. Embiid plays.

Now he can sit though.

i wish he kept Ben in and let him work on some more FTs. Seems like a good time with not much pressure here

ETA: kept him out until it got to under 2 minutes. Guess that is the counter to the Hack-A-Ben, but would rather see him work through it

I’m surprised Fernando and Okungwu haven’t gotten a few more minutes to bang on Embiid.   But Gallinari has been better this series so they will probably sit a lot.  Need to figure out some way to slow Embiid down a little even.

Screw Simmons.  Hope they find a sucker to trade for him.   Play maxey

Regarding Cam Reddish, hasn't he been pretty awful so far in his career?

Disclaimer: I really haven't watched him play much, more of a comment based on his statistics. I'm guessing he's a good/promising defender?

ehh, Simmons is probably one of the top 2 reasons why they won. Shut down Trae close to completely
Yep he played incredible defensively, but I'm sure we will hear more in hear about his 0-2 from the line than how he shut down Trae Young and helped his team win the game.

Ok.   Just saying if sixers can get something good for him in the off season they should take it.   That's all.  If not, roll with him

Gotta give the Hawks credit, they hung in there when I didn't think they would.  Game 3 is going to be interesting.   We will probably cool off from 3 a bit.

This game, both teams hit about the same number of FT's and 3's.  Difference was Philly hit 8 more 2's.

Not sure when the line opens up, but I'm guessing it's going to be a 2 point spread.

I believe Trae will hit at least three 3s.

Whether they win or not, well....
I was surprised the o/u would be set at 3 too.  Thought this would be automatic.

Good job @AAAABatteries on not taking the bait and spending money on the Over 3 Trae 3's and Hawks win Parlay that she tried to convince you was a good bet.

Did I hear that right, the Jazz missed 21 shots in a row???  I remember an 11-2 Jazz early Iead I believe.  Then I look up and it's 25-12 Clips, so only a free throw was made during that 23 point run.

What's the record for most shots missed in a row anyway?

ehh maybe. Seth seems to finally have healed up his ankle and have shaken off the Covid rust he had:

Shooting 50% from 3 over last 15 games, before tonight

Utah sucks, but this arena color scheme is dope.
Didn't someone say they basically stole that from Denver?  The red rocks / sunset color deal that the old school Nuggets had?

Heck, the Nuggets still have a red rocks inspired one.  Alternate or whatever they call their 11th unis these days.
