2020-21 NBA *Playoffs* Thread: Bucks are the champs and you can take that to the bank bromigos (7 Viewers)

i don't think i have ever seen so many people so gleeful and happy when a team loses. There is like 1-2 Hawks fans in here and like 30+ anti-Sixers fans.  :kicksrock:
I was rooting for the Sixers for 3 reasons:  1) hate seeing Trae Young flop, 2) Dr J, 3) Charles Barkley.

A lot of people in here aren't really anti-Sixers IMO.  Most just seem to be bemused by the constant mental gymnastics to defend Ben Simmons' horrific FT shooting.

Really torn on who to root for in this game.  Not a fan of the Clips, certainly not "Playoff P."   But also don't want to see the Clips lose just because of K Leonard's injury.   Also not really a fan of Rudy....he's just such a limited offensive player.

Yep. 4 situations:

1. Non-Sixers fan posts something good about them= non-existant

2.  Sixers fan posts something good about them= 2 pages of posts disputing that.

3. Non-Sixers fan posts something bad about them= like-city

4. Sixers fan posts something bad about them= crickets

Has anyone else noticed how unbelievable awful Gobert's hands are?  I've never seen a player get the ball knocked away more often.  For a dude with hands that big it makes no sense.  It's like he's playing with flippers.
I #### you not, Gobert has had the ball slapped away from him no fewer than 5 times since I made this post.

Clippers non-stars played great tonight.  Morris, Jackson and Mann all with big games and PG was solid all game.

This one really surprised me.  Mitchell is far from 100% and tried to force it a lot tonight.  He just couldn't get it done with a bad leg.

Lue figured out the Clippers rotations.  After the opening round series he should have had them already figured out, but once LA started playing the right players the Jazz have been out of sorts enough for the Clippers to take the series lead.  They held the Jazz in check from 3 in the 2nd half, great adjustments.  Much credit to Paul George, he was a legit superstar that put the team on his back.  For all the crap he takes at times, you gotta give it up when he does what he did tonight.  Playoff P!

LA better take care of business in game 6 though.  I just don't see them winning in Utah in game 7 if they lose at home in game 6.  If Utah has a healthy enough Conley it could be enough to swing it.

Ahaaaaaa, gotta love that Paul George guy, what a comedian. Gives that fan base a big game of hope before fizzling out 8-35 the next 2 games and into the offseason. Classic skit.

Have you ever seen Kwame "hands of stone" Brown play?

Harris with 4 for PHI.....that's just outright pathetic.

If Danny Green didn't get hurt....are these past two games different?
The Hawks are playing without Deandre Hunter and Cam Reddish. Those 2 players are a bigger loss than Green.  Since they hired McMillan they had the same record as the Sixers. I am a Hawks fan and I still don’t think the series is over. With that said- the lack of respect that people are willing to give them is ridiculous. People already saying the Nets will sweep them; Their young pg is basically averaging 30-10 in his first playoff showing, and half of those games have been against arguably the best defenders of guards in the league in Simmons. I think it’s time that they get some respect as they aren’t some fluke

Yeah, the lack of self awareness of the Sixer fans ITT is off the charts.

Love Terrance Mann. Go Noles.

How I feel in statistical terms…

“The 76ers are the only team to blow an 18-point lead in back-to-back playoff games in the last 25 seasons. They had a win probability of 95.5% at one point in Game 4, and it reached 99.7% late in the 3rd quarter of Game 5.”

They don't give up.

Trae Young is making it worse for Sixers fans. You have this 5'5" goblin yet he has to carry his balls around in a wheel barrow. He refuses to give up or back down against men a foot and a half taller than him....shades of Iverson (it's early to compare Young to a Great...but who cares).  Meanwhile, we got Ben Simmons; a giant of a man whose body was carved on Olympus and placed in the "Professional Basketball Player" career bin......but he's so mild, meek and tender.... he makes Hodor in Game of Thrones look like The Mountain.

I'll root for ATL against the Nets.

If it makes you feel anybody, I don’t care about the Sixers and after 47 years of rooting for Atlanta sports I’m conditioned to assume we will lose next 2 games.

Not trying to pile on but I just finished watching.  Simmons hit a FT (supplies!) at 4:23 left in the game.  They didn’t score again until the meaningless basket Curry hit with 1 second left.  That’s remarkable.

I always wondered how it's even possible for Doc Rivers led teams to blow 3-1 leads in series so many times. Now I see it. He lets his teams fall into a sense of comfort that they've already won, compounds that by not making any adjustments when the other team starts to comeback, then he full on panics right as they're about to blow it to ensure his players are so confused and scared that they forget how to play basketball altogether.

Hope Atlanta ends it in 6.

Some of these are epic

The 76ers were 165-0 in the past 25 seasons when leading by at least 25 points at any point in the game (regular season or playoffs).

Crazy.  Literally only Embiid and Curry made a FG in the second half.  The rest of the team was standing around. Harris was scared to shoot near the end.  Simmons has no heart.  They have nobody other than a big man to close out a game.  They have enough talent to overcome that overall, but man, did they just need a guy last night to take the ball and settle down and stab ATL in the heart AKA Jimmy Buckets.
