2020-21 NBA *Playoffs* Thread: Bucks are the champs and you can take that to the bank bromigos (2 Viewers)

What they do a good job of is swiping at the ball with force.  If you get the ball clean 1 out of 5 times, you are in the positive from a points/possession standpoint.  No need to just intentionally foul, but there is no detriment to just playing very rough since he'll only average 1 point when he does go to the line.  Plus he can be susceptible to committing charges when the ref doesn't call a foul (happened once last night on Crowder where Crowder pushed him and then flopped when Giannis bounced back into him and got the charge call).
All the sharp guys I listen to noted that the Suns have a better defense...I think it was rather obvious game 1.

Yeah that was a BS call too.

"Of the 16 games the Bucks have played in these playoffs, there was only one other time that Milwaukee's opponent shot as many as 26 free throws (a win against Miami)."

Middleton took 26 shots.  Not one free throw.

😂 Giannis shoulder rammed him AND extended the arm. That's the only call to make there. smh, and some of these takes. C'mon guys.
Crowder whos a sturdy built dude falls to the ground like he was hit by a semi. Its a foul on Giannis for sure but the flopping is simply gross.

I don't disagree with the foul on Giannis, but Crowder fouls him first.  When a defender is allowed to extend his forearm and push into the ballhandler, calling a charge when the offensive player moves back into him is not equitable...which is why Giannis is so upset.

The second, retaliatory action almost always gets whistled.

Throw them both out of the game for acting and having zero integrity and it all stops.
NBA's worse than South American (or British) footie for flopping. there should be independent review of each game with some kind of point system for faking where you lose games (and cash) past certain thresholds. too much to put on floor refs, but it's killing the game. i'd like to see complainers get t'd up more, too, cept it slows #### down. it's become a real crybaby sport

Home/Away splits for refs Game 1 vs Game 2.  Will probably be less home cooking tonight.

Game 1
Marc Davis - 112.06/109.37 (+2.69)
Josh Tiven - 113.14/111.29 (+1.85)
Pat fraher- 113.93/108.13 (+5.8)

Game 2
Zach Zarba - 111.75/110.78 (+0.97)
Tony brothers - 110.64/110.62 (+0.02)
Sean wright - 114.93/111.83 (+3.1)

This surprises me he is that susceptible.  He is one of my favorite officials in the league.

Looked up league average for the regular season this year and it is 112.56/111.62 (+0.94).

who's gonna win? more importantly who's gonna cover?

my book has bucks +5 atm, was 5.5 when i checked earlier.
Bud surprisingly makes a few subtle adjustments, and the Bucks steal G2.

(Bucks win both games at home, lose G5 back in Phoenix, and win the series with me in attendance on July 20.)

#BucksIn6

Can we talk about how much we all hate these late starts?
Here in Arizona it is a perfect start. Gives me time to get off work and I can have a few beers during the game and still be in bed by 10:00.

This is so much better than when I lived in Ct. The game would go so late it was hard to get up the next day.

Go Suns!!!!

Nice.  Where'd you get this stuff, Greg?

Similar to the LAC small lineups, Lopez camping out on the perimeter is giving Ayton some problems. Totally out of the picture on some of those Bucks ORebounds.

Other option is to play Ayton on Giannis.  He's good at staying out of foul trouble, but that would be asking a lot for a majority of a game.

Suns' 3s keeping them close.
No doubt, hot shooting for Phoenix in the 1st.  Bucks are hedging on drivers and forcing the ballhandlers to pass.

Bucks soooooo much better on D
That's what fighting through screens will do.  Milwaukee had to quit switching without effort like they did in game 1.  Added benefit of fighting through those screens is the Suns will get into their possession with less time on the shot clock.

Boy does Andy Nagy really love sticking it to the home crowd (only 12 wins in 40 games)!  What an #######.
Whereas ol' Jason Goldenburg likes the good feels of a home crowd (27 wins and only 10 losses).

The discrepancy between those two is staggering.  That Nagy dude averages a +6 point differential for road teams.  Goldberg averages over 4 pts in the opposite direction, for a whopping 10 point difference.  Decent sample size too.

F'n refs.

Bucks not getting back on D, refusing to box out, and just generally getting outhustled to every single MFing loose ball makes me feel embarrassed to keep cheering for these schlubs.

Noticed this last game.

Suns are almost always back and ready on D

CP3 pushes Jrue into Booker, and refs call the foul on Jrue.
Leadership. ™

Giannis, don't ever, ever, ever, ever shoot another three ever again.
The Bucks have gone inside almost every single possession in the 1st half, and the Suns are doing everything but taking a bat to the Bucks players.  Not many options left if the smaller Phoenix team is allowed to play that physical when Milwaukee gets in the lane.
