They’ll get in. Who would get in ahead of them? We know we have Bama/Clemson or ND, and maybe both/maybe Florida or TAMU and I guess Oregon? Can’t imagine a 1-loss UF or TAMU getting in over OSU.Man tOSU’s schedule is awful. I wonder how much it should affect their playoff bid if the best team they play before playoffs is Indiana?
Assuming ND wins out and then loses to Clemson - hard to see them both not making it. When everyone else will have 2 losses.Man tOSU’s schedule is awful. I wonder how much it should affect their playoff bid if the best team they play before playoffs is Indiana?
Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns. They’ll get in. Who would get in ahead of them?
The problem might be if an undefeated PAC 12 team is there too. SEC will have at least one team, ND/Clemson murky the waters this year, and not sure yet how PAC 12 factors in.They’ll get in. Well I won’t argue their schedule but you can watch a team and get an idea of how good they are. Wonky things can happen in CFB but I doubt you’re gonna find many people saying a 7-0 OSU team at the end of the year doesn’t deserve to be in. Not like any of this other teams are playing a gauntlet themselves. The problem might be if an undefeated PAC 12 team is there too. I know tOSU is a good team, but that Penn State win now means nothing. MSU is bad and so is Michigan. They will have the worst resume and no one would really know how good they were until the playoffs.
Good end to the first half by the Irish.ND sleep walking and keeping BC in the game. Completely lost so far and two stupid turnovers. Feels like a survive and enhance kind of week.
I would just say play the games and forget any championships. Just let the kids have fun. I know this will never happen but that’s what’s I’d like to see.Yes I agree about the players wanting to play. But this is a total farce, two pac schools scheduled a game for Sunday, TODAY
Extra year sounds great but in reality somebody is losing the time if they don’t play. Especially high school kids.I agree that the kids want to play, but it is a "free" year of eligibility if they want to stick around. At least that was the word earlier. I would understand if they want to call it career with everything going on.
ETA: I have no idea what the NCAA is planning to do with scholarship limits and incoming class if a bunch of current scholarship players want to stick around.
Agree. Everybody gets some fresh air and exercise.I would just say play the games and forget any championships. Just let the kids have fun. I know this will never happen but that’s what’s I’d like to see.
Michigan has 1 yard at the end of the 1st quarter. lolThe entire Wisconsin defense must not have been on Joe Miltons radar this week.
Its worse than that...easilyYeah, not to pile on, but this looks like Rich Rod era.
Me either....give me the DC at cinncy and lets move onNever expected harbaugh to fall flat like this.
BYU?They’ll get in. Who would get in ahead of them? We know we have Bama/Clemson or ND, and maybe both/maybe Florida or TAMU and I guess Oregon? Can’t imagine a 1-loss UF or TAMU getting in over OSU.
@gumpThey get talent, but they don't develop the 3* players hardly at all. And their quality players aren't getting significantly better either. In my view, it's player development and game plan. I think Harbaugh and Brown are married to specific approaches come hell or high water and have no idea how to change. There just seems to be so much entitlement on these teams. I don't get the sense they are competing for the positions they are starting. I don't think there is any question that Milton was the better talent between him and McCaffery, but will they be able to develop him to his potential? It's probably more culture than anything.I know you’ve thoroughly covered this, but recruiting rankings have been top 10 outside of ‘18...is it the wrong recruits vs need?
Recruiting is definitely a skill that successful coaches typically have...that’s not needed obviously in the NFL. And it’s not just piling up high rankings.
Shamefully that would probably be an upgrade. So when do the Gamecocks hire Jim Harbaugh? Just trying to problem solve.
