*** 2021/22 Stanley Cup NHL Thread **** Congrats 2022 Avs Cup Champs! (2 Viewers)

Leaking Oil already.

Marty Biron said on SiriusXM today he liked the Kings because they have Quick, and the other team has Mike Smith.

Vintage Quick game.  Made the saves when he needed to.

Kings need to clean up the PK to have a good chance at this series........but Quick gives them a chance every game.

The usual BS.  Attempted to really hurt someone.

Minnesota’s Jared Spurgeon has been fined $5,000, the maximum allowable under the CBA, for Cross-checking St. Louis’ Pavel Buchnevich.

Fine only for Spurgeon. Whatever, glad one of our best players wasn’t seriously injured.

The Blues really need to clean up zone exits, but it’s been a problem since we lost Pietrangelo and I don’t see it getting better now. Maybe we can keep getting power plays and get past Minnesota, but Colorado is going to feast on the forecheck against us.

fine by me, I bet our Kings last night me boy  :hifive:
They are playing well and Quick is looking like 2012.  He can steal a series or two but the Kings will need to stay out of the box to really have a shot.  They are also getting out physical'd which will eventually be a problem.  It was nice to see Kopi playing playoff hockey and throwing his weight around a bit.  They will need that to continue.   They also need Arvidson back in the lineup.  That Arvidson/Danault/Moore line was playing amazing down the stretch.  They need that scoring punch to keep up.

Edmonton was outplayed by LA last night. They looked like the better organized and well coached team.

I know nothing about hockey, but eyeball test tells me the wrong team was favored.  LA in 5.

And the refs in perfect form as lindgren for rangers throws complete cheap shot knocking Rackell out of the game and they reduce it from 5 to 2 minutes. Just an absolute joke.

Here's my issue with the disallowed Kakko goal:

It wasn't a mystery what happened. Player goes to the net, goalie ends up knocked down on the ice. Those officials made the judgment at that moment that the contact from the defenseman was enough, and we know this because they would've waved off the goal if they didn't think that. Maybe it was just the MSG feed not showing it, but it seemed like the officials didn't even feel the need to talk it over.

To overturn that kind of judgment call on replay is just insane to me.
