I like the lightning design at the bottom of Tampa’s but don’t like the word bolts or the font they used for it. Won’t be buying it but it’s not terrible either imo

Flyers getting smoked in Tampa

@charlieo_conn: This absolutely feels like the kind of game that can get people fired. But given that it's the first game of a back-to-back and the start of a brutally busy week (5 in 7), it's pretty awful logistical timing for a change. Maybe that doesn't matter. Guess we'll see.

 
@RawCharge: Up 5-0, Lightning not even putting their real power play unit out there. Colton, Perry, and Maroon in front of Hedman and McDonagh.

 
@BroadStHockey: Great question, TV's Keith Jones: what *do* you say in the locker room when you're down 5-0 after two periods and about to lose your eighth straight game?

 
@RealGlenMacnow: Firing Vigneault may not solve the Flyers larger problems, but the team seems to have abandoned the coach and changes need to be made ASAP. It appears to be another wasted season for the black-and-orange.

The game was in Philly, but yes, Tampa crushed them. I’d write more, but I’m more excited that the Lions won, so there’s that.

they had 2 games last week and didn't make a change. Last night was first of 5 in 7 days . I don't get it.

(well except the team totally quit last night but they sucked the previous 7 games too)]

@charlieo_conn: Also can confirm that Mike Yeo will be interim coach, at least for now. Not a major surprise as he obviously has head coaching experience, and I believe he is well-liked by the players.

Don't think that means the Flyers won't look elsewhere for an HC, but Yeo interim for now.

still get shuked by nyr goaler usage.  georgiev is barely their only nhler right now and they go back to back against the rapehawks on the road and the nordiques at home.  so, if you know you won’t play georgiev both, why not play him against colorado and use husky against chi?

Georgiev probably loses to the Avs tonight with the way the team is playing.   The way Huska is playing, he could have lost last night to Chicago.  just my opinion.

 
Tampa goes into Toronto, beats the Leafs 5-3, and shows everyone how to be a winning team while wearing blue and white.

Sorry for not updating earlier, but I had stuff to do. Anyway, Tampa got to play the part of Goliath today, and like the Biblical giant, got beaten by a much less skilled opponent(though I doubt the Almighty had a direct hand in this matchup). Got shutout for the first time all season, but I’ve noticed that even the best teams lose a game randomly that few expected them to lose.
