2021 College football thread - Auburn’s gotta Auburn. (2 Viewers)

Has it been confirmed yet the extent of Jameson Williams' knee injury?  I assume it's an ACL after the replays....you could literally see a tendon snapping up almost like you see when an achilles tendon tears.   Sucks.
@AdamSchefter: Alabama's Jameson Williams, the projected top WR in the 2022 NFL Draft, tore his ACL last night vs. Georgia, per sources. Doctors believe that, after surgery within the next 10 days, Williams will retain his sub 4.3 speed, and they expect a full recovery.

Per Audrey Snyder, Penn State RB Noah Cain has entered the transfer portal. I hope he can be his 2019 self again, even if it’s not in State College.

Great call out…the SEC isn’t the hurdle.
"Monday's national championship comes in as the second-lowest viewership of the playoff era, and the second-lowest title game viewership in 16 years."

I think this will only get worse if the trend continues.

Agreed...which hurts everyone right?  National TV money.  The SEC OTOH is about to get a gigantic deal, and this CFP is largest hot market sales-wise for College in a long time.

How was there no Lightning/Bucs one? Nfl not bending on that?
Basically yes…we need creative and financial flexibility from all licensors to make something this complex viable…just couldn’t get that one there.

This GA State of Champs program is smoking…we just got another graphic up that was much tougher to get done…trophies, etc. But it’s pretty cool.

So who gets royalties for this?

Shame. A Bolts/Bucs shirt woulda sold crazy here.

Heard some rumblings on radio this morning right before the news came out that Wisconsin was unlikely and the academic side of getting him transferred was an issue.  About an hour later, it hit Twitter that he was going to USC.

Lincoln Riley on transfer portal: "It's changed the way college football operates”

“At some point, we’ll have to put in some guardrails to ensure when it can happen, when it can’t happen so players and staffs are a little bit more on the same page.” Ironic.

🤣🤣🤣

Whatever you say Jimbo…

@chris_hummer Jimbo Fisher talking NIL on @247Sports NSD show: "It didn't affect recruiting at all. This $30 million thing is a joke. This idea there's some fund out there & it was written on BroBible by a guy named sliced bread and now all of a sudden the country believes it?"

Quite a quote

Schefter reporting Harbaugh staying at Michigan. Good news for the Wolverines.

I reckon it will be awkward for a bit.

I understand that this is only an issue with the boosters because they want him gone.

What I don’t understand is how he brought along a Boise cheerleader and it wasn't an issue with his wife.

She went from cheerleader to assistant to the Head Coach at Auburn.

The wife was definitely with the program. She probably has the pool getting cleaned three times a week.
