2021 College football thread - Auburn’s gotta Auburn. (1 Viewer)

HooBoy

@MBakerTBTimes: Mullen said UF had meetings last week about what direction #Gators need to go with assistants and such

Mullen had the ball in a tie game with 40 yards to get into FG range against a terrible D and a 1:05 left and he ran out the clock :lmao:

And he's getting torched for it

@zach_goodall: Yes. The offensive genius head coach doesn’t trust the offense that he has recruited over four years to drive ~40 yards into field goal range in over a minute.

Kinda tells you everything about the program right now. https://twitter.com/corey_bender/status/1462214652142751748

Yes.  But that means they are saying #23 and #3 are equal on a neutral field.  You'd think at #3 Ducks should be at least a couple points fave on neutral, so maybe +1 at Utah.  But "Vegas Knows" how good the teams really are, which is why GM is nervous.  As am I.

No need to be nervous anymore.  Ducks going to lose by 24 tonight.  :(

Happy for Cincy fans.

What if Michigan beats Ohio State...not saying they will but for the sake of argument. Say Oregon wins out so they are in along with Michigan and Georgia. Say Cincinnati loses. Would a 2 loss Ohio State team that in this example lost to 2 top 4 teams get in over a 2 loss Alabama team?
Michigan is as likely to beat Ohio as Dan Mullen is to keep his job.

Notre Dame is gonna make it aren't they?
So we know Georgia and BIG winner is in. Cincy in if they win out, Bama in with a win of UGA.

I think 2-loss Bama makes it over ND assuming tight loss to UGA. OK St could pass them as well with two difficult games left. I don’t think ND makes it.

Agreed. ND's path is limited to Bama losing to Auburn and Georgia, Michigan winning next week then losing the title game, or Cincy losing at all. The chances of either the first 2 happening are slim to none, so it's all on Cincy.

might also come down to how bama looks in a loss to Georgia.  i could see nd getting by them if bama gets beat handily.   they'll have a similar sos with nd's 1 loss coming against the #3 team.  helluva job by kelly to have them even in the discussion.    this looked like this was gonna be a down year early in the season.    i know everyone is pulling for them so lets keep our fingers crossed.

Bama is as likely to get housed as ND is to lose to Stanford.

Houston might get Cincinnati in that AAC title game. I bet that spread is no more than Cincy -6

Would UGA and Alabama rematch as the 1 and 4 seeds or would they just go UGA vs Cincinnati and Ohio State vs Alabama?

The only two teams with any snowballs chance against UGA is Alabama and Ohio State so hopefully they have to beat both.  UGA is going to name their score on Tech next Saturday.  Ugh

They have mentioned before they have intentionally tried to avoid rematches. If Bama goes into the SECCG as the 2 and loses a close game I think they’ll fall to 3, OSU goes to 2 and Georgia gets Cincy.

Play that no rematch scenario out if bama beats Georgia.  Bama1 Georgia3?

In Its 8 Big Ten games plus the game against OU, Nebraska has a 0 point differential. And they are 1-8.

That’s hard to believe.
