2021 College football thread - Auburn’s gotta Auburn. (5 Viewers)

Mount Union held Capital to an NCAA record zero first downs today which is the last time since Case Western Reserve had zero against Wooster on Sept. 21, 1985.

This #### is wild.  I don't think I've ever seen this happen before.  Refs should just call it.  Lane Kiffin got hit with a golf ball.  Tennessee cheerleaders running off the field holding their cards as shields.

Made me think of USMNT playing Mexico in Azteca. But Vols fans were throwing golf balls and mustard bottles instead of bags of urine.

Guess in a way I’m surprised it took Tennessee fans this long to shower the field with their mustard bottles and vape pens.

Will Anderson has been unleashed apparently. Have a game. That was one of the best Bama individual player defensive games in years. Backed up his words. Impressed.

With all the craziness at the end of the game in Knoxville I haven’t heard much about Heupel’s decision to go for it on 4th and 24 with 3 timeouts left.  I know we all agree that coaches haven’t gone for it enough in the past and that is definitely changing but 4th and 24??  Granted they almost got the first but I would have to think the analytics would favor a punt, no?

Easy way to stop moronic fans like the ones at Vols game, just don't allow fans at their home games the rest of the year. That crap will stop real fast. They should have stopped that game and gave ole miss the win, disgusting.

yeah I was surprised it wasn't discussed at least.  This analytics bot says going was the correct choice but it gives it an 8% chance of success which seems kind of charitable.

@aisports_4th: Ole Miss (31) @ Tennessee (26)
Tennessee has 4th & 24 64 yards from opponent end zone

Recommendation (MEDIUM): 👉 Go for it (+2.2 WP)
Actual play: 👉 Hendon Hooker pass complete to Jacob Warren for 23 yds to the Miss 41 https://twitter.com/aisports_4th/status/1449581479520989188/photo/1

Wow, that was bad.  I didn't see it last night, but it was the first suggested video on Youtube.  :lmao:

I saw an entire Colorado student section get kicked out, but the debris being thrown was localized to a couple sections.  It looked like is was coming from all over in Knoxville.

Penn State would have won by 20 last week if Clifford didn't get hurt.
My Sunday morning ritual is to make a pot of coffee, fire up Reddit CFB post-game threads and sort by controversial.  Most of the posts in the Iowa v Purdue post-game thread are from PSU flairs.  :lmao:

Edit:  A lot of the comments are about karma for booing injuries which is fair.

Godfrey is saying Ed Orgeron is out
@RossDellenger: #LSU and Ed Orgeron have reached a separation agreement: He will not return in 2022 but expected to complete this season, sources tell @SINow.

Negotiations began last week before UF win.

It’s unprecedented in the sport - coach & school divorcing 21 months after winning it all.
