ESPN needs something for its talking heads to yell at each other aboutThey ranked Michigan over Michigan State and they played like 10 days ago lol. This committee is insane how can anybody take this seriously
Only solution to the long national nightmare of multibillion dollar amateur academic athletes playing football and not knowing who is really the best is obviously to have a 128 school playoff. Make college football a year round sport so they can play 30 games each season.Bryan Fischer

Should have just said, "We think Michigan has a higher quality loss."Love this guy. ‘At the end of the day …’

This is worth a hand. Probably two.
I think this is teh best format. 12 is just too many mediocre/above average teams.I mean I can see 6 teams. Gives the 1/2 seeds a bye. 12 is just ridiculous to me. There’s no need for that and all it will ultimately do is give us the 9-3 SEC teams. People really think they are going to reward like, Boise State in that scenario? It’ll be the same committee.
More shocking to me are the people who are justifying calling players mfrs because well it is football and that is allowed. Also the "in my day guys" coaches would set us on fire and we would have to run 10 miles up hill to just get him to piss on us to put the fire out while yelling obscenities at us. "And made me a better man!"That Texas video. That should make the guys play harderhttps://twitter.com/twelshyyy/status/1458156133424812034?t=9mQzSmHElFxNQogzJtsJZg&s=19

Their fanbase is now buzzing about Lincoln Riley.
He's been mentioned, but nobody really has any idea who LSU is targeting. Fan base speculation is off the charts right now, including flight tracking and all of that, but the AD isn't saying anything and has kept it all close to his vest. Jimbo, Riley, Tucker and Napier have drawn the most speculation.Really no clamoring for Dave Aranda?
A lot of pundits had Tucker with his bags all packed for Louisiana.Am I supposed to be disappointed?

I like seeing their projections blow up in their collective faces.
Yeah, there really is no one guy everyone is hanging on.He's been mentioned, but nobody really has any idea who LSU is targeting. Honestly, I don't really hate this move.
Agreed. I'm a MAC guy and would have liked to see WKU, but MTSU... no thanks.Honestly, I don't really hate this move.
WKU would've been a nice get, fit the MAC footprint, solid athletics, but just doesn't make sense on a standalone basis. MTSU, on the other hand, does nothing for me. Less of a regional fit, athletics would fit in fine but wouldn't overall raise the conference profile like WKU would've.
From what I'd read on WKU and MTSU fan boards over the past few weeks, sounds like the feeling is mutual. WKU fans seemed to welcome the opportunity and latch-on to a Rust Belt conference, whereas MTSU fans didn't want the move and would rather keep the money to stay in C-USA and try to rebuild. To be honest, many of MTSU's fans seemed a little delusional as to the desirability of their program to outside conferences. There's a reason they were left holding the bag as the conference got picked-over.
Both preferred a more southern footprint, and I get that. The Sun Belt offers much better football than the MAC does currently (at least the top programs in the SBC) whereas the MAC offers much better basketball. I do think WKU would've been a great fit in the MAC, especially paired with a school like Marshall. But football drives everything, and Marshall is a football-first school, unlike much of the MAC at this point, and the Sun Belt fits their football profile better.
It was fun to be in the mix for a little bit, but I'm alright with the MAC standing pat at this point.
Fun fact - the MAC is quite the wrestling conference. They took in some PA schools like Clarion and Lock Haven. It was fun to be in the mix for a little bit, but I'm alright with the MAC standing pat at this point.
It’s sad to watch the USF program, but they get out what they put in.I was offered tix for this game last minute. Glad I stayed home instead.
USF would literally have to pay me to go, probably quite a bit too.Osaurus said:I was offered tix for this game last minute. Glad I stayed home instead.
Had a high school coach with the same last name back in the early 80s. One of the other coaches use to joke that he was going to name his daughter "Howmucha."
So you're saying Michigan has it in the bag unless Franklin gets lost during half time?Uninspired football....weak. PSU wins this game if they stop these dumb trick plays
One of those games where it comes down to who can get out of their own way first it seems. So you're saying Michigan has it in the bag unless Franklin gets lost during half time?
My thought exactly. Not in the red zone, so of course it’s a TD
Us for watchingI can't figure out which side of Michigan/PSU is dumber.
