If they beat UGA they are in. There’s 0% chance they would leave both UGA and Bama out.4th and a yard to stay alive for a title and you blow it. Not sure there’s anything Bama can do now, even next week.

Driving into the ground is not a thing is college football though. I thought he took two steps..QB was pretty much plowed into the ground.![]()
I don’t think that’s a penalty in collegeQB was pretty much plowed into the ground.![]()
If Bama loses this, there’s no way. They’d have to leave out one loss champs or undefeated teams to a team who blew it twice in the regular season to unranked teams. If they beat UGA they are in. There’s 0% chance they would leave both UGA and Bama out.
2003Any historians hanging out who can list seasons where Michigan beat OSU AND Auburn beat Alabama?
Were a two loss Alabama team defeat Georgia in a close game, I'd still send a one loss Georgia team to the playoffs. Not even a worthy discussion imo to argue differently. If they beat UGA they are in. There’s 0% chance they would leave both UGA and Bama out.
So you think Bama beats UGA and UGA still gets in and Alabama is out OR Bama wins and there’s no SEC teams? Both those scenarios would never happen, IMO.If Bama loses this, there’s no way. Hate hate HATE shotgun on 3rd and 1 right there. Awful.
I think you guys are nuts if you think SEC champion Alabama is left out. Were a two loss Alabama team defeat Georgia in a close game, I'd still send a one loss Georgia team to the playoffs. Not even a worthy discussion imo to argue differently.

What you say makes perfect sense. This is complicated business.I think you guys are nuts if you think SEC champion Alabama is left out.
Then put a backup in and QB sneak it, or turn and hand off to a RB that had a head of steam. That was as bad a 3rd and 1play as you’ll ever see.The QB is lame and can't move.
I think it’s kind of complicated for some teams but if I gambled I would bet a lot of money that Bama is in if they beat UGA. Bama will get the benefit of the doubt - “this game was a rivalry game”, “it was close”, “Bama’s WR was ejected”, “It’s freaking Bama and Nick Saban”.What you say makes perfect sense. This is complicated business.
Easily the walk-on 3rd-stringer finds a way to fumble it backwards to midfield. Then put a backup in and QB sneak it, or turn and hand off to a RB that had a head of steam. That was as bad a 3rd and 1play as you’ll ever see.

The backup is a walk-on. If RB gets down on 2nd down it wouldn't matter. Then put a backup in and QB sneak it, or turn and hand off to a RB that had a head of steam. That was as bad a 3rd and 1play as you’ll ever see.
Then the hobbled 2nd stringer needs to take a snap from under center, turn, take two steps, and handoff to a RB moving forward. Now the expected is going to happen. It is their backup....a walk on.

It mattered.
I understand that
I understood it when it happened.
I didn't need 6 reminders

With that hobbled QB that couldn’t take a snap from under center on a 3rd and 1 that would’ve ended the game? Yeah, in that case, it is over.Yeah, it is over. No chance in OT..
