2021 College football thread - Auburn’s gotta Auburn. (2 Viewers)

I have no dog in this fight. I couldn't care less and still watch. But between Cinci's cute signs in the stands, their students' hair and now their punter, I hope Alabama wins by 100.

I mean, really, where do you have to be in life as an adult to bring a sign to a football game? Did he take an extra day off of work before flying down to the game to run to Michael's and get the poster board and the markers? Probably because one of his moron friends at the bar thought it was a real hoot when he said, "The Power 5 is opinion but 13-0 is fact."

All so he could proudly display his wittiness when the camera shows him on national TV.

"They'll chortle for days! I'll be a folk hero!"

You want to know everything wrong with the world? That's a pretty good place to start.

Bama football makes me a good deal of money working in sports ticketing in Alabama.  The funny thing is their tickets are softer price wise than ever before, how many times are you willing to pay to watch lambs to the slaughter? 

One of my wife's friends is a huge Bama fan and she doesn't understand when we tell her we don't ever watch even though it's one of my main business markets.  The outcome is always the same and I only react business wise if they somehow lose to someone they shouldn't.  In the modern CFP era, that would require two losses, not one.  I really haven't had that revenue losing moment from a Bama loss since Manziel beat them in Bryant Denny way back in 2012.  Even then a missed Oklahoma State FG in Ames one night opened the door for them to win another national title.

Watching an Alabama game is like watching a movie you've seen 20 times before.  You may can appreciate it for it's value and quality, but you should know the ending.  In the end, that's the best compliment I can ever pay Nick Saban.

They've been great.  I'm an Auburn grad but I tell everyone this about Nick Saban.  Did you ever see the video of the old lady running up and kissing Nick Saban when he got off the plane back in 2007 when they hired him?  Had I known what Nick Saban was going to mean for my business, I'd have been there and shoved her out of the way to kiss him myself.

 
Cincinnati’s red zone offense strategy is awful. Complete grab bag when they clearly need TDs instead of FGs.

They’re playing like they can afford to be cute and get TDs at any point but they clearly cannot.

True.  Cincy D is playing decent enough to keep them in the game if offense could put together some drives they might be even better.  QB struggling and holding the ball too long.  Instead of throwing it away taking 15 yards sacks not good.  This game will not help his draft stock.
