2021 Philadelphia Eagles - Queued up a playlist of our greatest zits throughout the season for final game (1 Viewer)

few of the losses were close. the SF game still sticks out to me

SF is really the only game besides last week I think we should've won. The other "close" loses looked better at the end do to garbage time moves making it look better. TB game stands out on that one. You could say this game or that game we win or lose but really when you put it all together we're an avg team at best right now. Not really a playoff team but also not a bottom 5 team either.

sitting in 8th now.... half a game back of sf and washington.  Planting my flag now and calling us getting the 7 seed with an 8-9 record.  (Then getting crushed round 1 of course)

Chargers run a play they call Philly Special

Was at work so didn't see this but Chargers ran a trick play for a 2PT conversion. It wasn't exactly the Philly Special but similar Keenan Allen Threw it to Justin Herbert who handed it to Eckler who pitched it to Allen. Mike Floria reported on Football Night In America that Allen said they just put the play in this week and call it The Philly Special. When asked why he threw the pass, Allen said because on Game Day I'm QB3 and emergency guy.

sounds about right

actually was on Raegor and bit on Boston Scott, but let's let the QB controversy narrative roll on
true enough that Raegors drop cost them in the end....but also true they never should have been in that spot. Still mad about the final play of the first quarter

Not a true controversy though. I agree Hurts has the hjigher ceiling. If we were serious about a deep playoff run I think Minshew might offer a better chance right now, but we aren't. I'm on board with seeing if Hurts can improve

[McLane] Gardner Minshew's 133.7 passer rating was the highest for an #Eagles starter since Nick Foles (141.4) in the 2017 NFC championship game against the Vikings.

We go from BDN to Mustache Minshew. These guys could make one hell of a porno...  :bowtie:

Fun fact. Gardner Minshew is living in former Eagle Vince Papale’s house in Philly. Gardner and Vince’s son Vinny work out in the offseason

Had been rooting for Indy to win games so that they'd stayed in the playoff hunt and wouldn't Bench Wentz.  Now that we have secured the first rounder, I hope they lose out.  Hope Miami loses too, but am rooting for the Birds to win as many as possible. Higher draft picks are obviously great, but three first rounders for a team already talented enough to compete for a wild card spot is awesome regardless where those picks fall.

Now that we have secured the first rounder
Don't jinx it! He still needs to play about 20 snaps and with our luck he'll go back home to North Dakota during the bye and snap his Achilles while trying to climb into a deer blind, or break his throwing wrist getting sacked in the first series of their next game.

Oh crap.  I thought he hit it already.  He's not vaccinated either. So keep him isolated!  lol

Also, injuries aside we may have the best left side of the OL in football as early as next year. Dickerson has looked like a flat out steal

But Honestly, I think a vet WR this offseason and we're fine.  Any of those 50-800 guys will fit in nicely. Smith and Watkins with a vet is good enough.  Not interested in another young guy.

win predictions back on page 100. right on track! or exceeding track if u're the cowboys fans on that page.
On pace to do one better than my prediction. Had us losing to Atlanta, Den and NO. Had us beating SD and NYG (1st). Had 8-9.

Honestly hope we get healed up and are fired up for these last 4 games. Washington will not be easy and Giants suck but will get fired up because they know they can beat us. Who knows what the Cowboy game will be. This week's game against Was for them will determine how important that will be.

i hope Hurts is healthy for this one and the o-line, namely kelce. this one stung two weeks ago so would like to see Hurts bounce back for it.

i'm curious what the cowboys do for the week 18 matchup if they have the division locked up and have a chance to play spoiler and knock us out of wildcard. I know there's a lot of work left to get there for the Eagles, but do they risk injuries to keep us out? fun times ahead.

I don’t think I ever did mine but would have been in the 5-6 win range if I’m being honest.

Obviously it’s early but I’m pretty excited to have Sirianni. He’s grown and kept the team together during a tough stretch. That’s pretty damn important.

I quoted noid but never posted anything unless all I did was quote Noid and edit the post of what I though.

Settle down. Our offense looks about as potent as Joe Gibb's prostate.

The Eagles and FOOTBALL TEAM are getting hot and my boys are flailing. Dare I say the defense is better than the O right now. Oline is having serious issues. Some of that might be due to both OL coaches being out due to covid (so no adjustments) but we dont look good.

/End of my Cowboys talk.

I'd hold off until we see if Minshew takes over and what kind of hissy fit Hurts has.
If Hurts has a sustained run of poor play like Wentz did last year, he absolutely should be benched as well.

Eh, you had one bad game against the Chiefs a few weeks ago.  I think its fine.  After losing 33-30 to the Raiders I think the offense is fine...

Howie Roseman got more in return for Joe Flacco than he gave up trading for Gardner Minshew.

Minshew is 25 years old and at the bare minimum is a premium backup with low-end starter as his ceiling.

Was suprised to see how good GM looked.   Seems to be one of those guys who is a late bloomer but knows the game and where to put the ball.  Might have a Ryan Fitz type of long career in the league as a solid backup and borderline starter.   If Hurts struggles continue would not be suprised to see GM get more chances and work Hurts in as a slash type of player.

Good comparison.  I agree

It still astounds me that Fitzpatrick has been in the league for 16 years. I remember starting him in his first 2 games as a desperation play in my 2qb league.
