Warriors need to do some on the fly reloading if they want to try to win another title with Curry. Will be interesting to see if they just run it back or retool.
Gotta believe Poole is gone
How? Who willingly takes that contract?
Would have to be someone else with a bad contract I assume. Poole for Gobert? No, I think the Ws are probably going to run it back. Really would have helped them the not whiff on the #2 pick in 2020.
Or the #7 and #14 picks in 2021.

Did they really miss though? It is very early and it isn't like the guys right after them are lighting the league on fire.
Franz Wagner and Davion Mitchell both there at #7

Guys available at #14 - Herb Jones, Ayo Dosunmu, Grimes, Sengun, Hyland, Duarte, Mann, and some undrafted guy named Austin Reaves

Granted, lots of those Gus played bigger roles than they would have on the Warriors, but there are some productive guys there.

To be fair, you could do that all day and I don’t think anyone had Wagner and Mitchell ahead of kuminga.

Duarte wasn’t there at 14, but that is one where maybe there is more of an argument. Still, most had moody as a lottery pick, fwiw.

Sengun is a nice player. SOD imo

He’s very skilled offensively, but I’m not sure he will ever be good enough to really offset his defensive limitations

That is my point though. None of those guys are lighting the league on fire and would have forced themselves into large roles with the Warriors. Pretty much anyone they picked at 7 and 14 would be looked at as a bust or incomplete right now.

Franz Wagner has been phenomenal. And there's several other players there that would have been in the Warriors rotation, which is the whole point when comparing to DNP Kuminga and Moody(who I guess did play a little more vs LA due to Poole's overwhelming awfulness).

Man Franz on the warriors would’ve been awesome. Thank god they blew that one.

?? Franz is one of the best players under 25 in the league.

I am not disagreeing. I don't think he would be if the Warriors took him sharing minutes with Looney, Green and Wiggins.

Sounds like Monte Williams is gone

Seems unsmart. Unless I am remembering wrong, Monty wasn't the biggest fan of Ayton and then they resigned him, then they trades all of their depth and picks for Durant and lost to the best team in the west. Feels like Monty got the most out of the Suns this season. Hope the Pistons try to get him.

Pretty expected dismissal of Monty. First of many moves IMO.

Think James Jones is next. Made some decent moves but also took Jalen Smith over Haliburton somehow with an old CP3 on roster. Also made mistakes not getting Ayton out of there.

Davion MItchell is a fine player. He is, and will never be good enough for anyone to bemoan not drafting him.

Not to be dramatic, but today's game is like the defining moment of this sixers franchise. We win, Joel gets the monkey off his back, Harden isn't a choker, Doc can finish a series again, maybe we go on to beat the heat and get to the finals, the future is then bright. We lose, harden is gone, doc is fired, Joel probably wants out, Sixers never come close to this level again for another decade or two.

So a little bit riding on the outcome today for the Sixers.

I don’t think you are being dramatic. This is it for Harden if it doesn’t want to be remembered as a postseason joke. Embiid will have a few more turns but probably not with a team this good. And then Doc… they gotta get it done. I doubt they will but hope I am wrong.

Sixers cap situation isn’t bad if they don’t bring back Harden. Harris will be on an expiring. They have one more year of Maxey on the cheap. Although having no good picks to trade certainly hampers things.

Embiid needs to recruit a star to demand to play with him.

I believe Harden's contract is a player option.

By far, the funniest subtitles this board has ever seen.

Whoever you are Capella, know that you could write for SNF. Like, no question. Well done, as always.
In a thread with so many bad takes this is by far the worst.
Didn't mean to hurt your feelings, super genius. I hope this isn't borne from my take on your super important top 12 ever list, very seriously, are you? WHO CARES?

Laugh a little, this stuff can not mean that much, does it?

I will take Curry off the list if that helps your grudge. Whoopie!
You should take your own advice here friend. Think you are reading way too much into frosty's take.

Not sure if this has been mentioned—nor is it really relevant—but I think it’s kinda cool and interesting. If the Celtics beat the 76ers today—I believe we’ll have the same final four teams as we did in the bubble 3 years ago. (Nuggets vs Lakers) and (Celtics vs Heat).

It is correct, and there is no "If".

0% chance the Sixers win today.

Isn’t the assumption that he’ll decline it to try to lock in a longer term contract?

Be a lot more cool than this to other posters if you come back.

The reverse jinx is strong with this one.

I agree. I don't think it's even close. These are the types of games they fold easily. And have for years

Past iterations of the Sixers, maybe. This team is a bit more mentally tough. The Sixers win today.

Sorry Sixers fans, Eric Lewis (Celtics are 30-2 with him reffing, and he was infamous for his no-call on them vs LeBron at the end of regulation a couple months ago) and Scott Foster (Harden has a horrible record with him) are reffing today.

Sorry to kick off the ref-talk @Jayrod

My son was just telling me this. No joke, I don’t get how the NBA can pretend that this stuff doesn’t happen.

Gonna be rough out there for the Sixers today. As a Celtics fan...hey, if the NBA really wants to force feed us that LA-BOS Finals, I can live with it.

Wizards likely to sell their whole team once they get a GM. That GM will do anything they can to move Beal. Porzingis likely to opt out. Kuzma certain to opt out. Maybe they can get relegated to the Italian League. Gotta think teams can find a use for the latter two. Beal seems physically done to me.

Got a feeling DEN is gonna show LA how old they really are.

Tweet from Woj:

An interesting dynamic approaching Celtics-Sixers Game 7, per sources: NBA’s officiating game report shared with teams from Game 6 revealed a significant disparity: 13 officiating errors disadvantaging 76ers to four disadvantaging Boston. Those can include calls and non calls.
