An interesting dynamic approaching Celtics-Sixers Game 7, per sources: NBA’s officiating game report shared with teams from Game 6 revealed a significant disparity: 13 officiating errors disadvantaging 76ers to four disadvantaging Boston. Those can include calls and non calls.
Shocking

(Note: Warriors fan, not a Boston/Philly fan)

In what context did Ja flash a gun? Was it illegal?

If Sixers lose, Doc has to go. Monte Williams to philly?
I dont think legality is the issue. The issue is the optics and what looks to be a complete lack of judgement. Having a dude that constantly flashes firearms while partying is hard to swallow as being a face of the franchise and the NBA.

I'm at a dinner at the in laws for Mother's day and the game won't be on. Actually fine with that. I'll check the score every now and then but I'm not subjecting myself to the ups and downs of the whole thing. Hopefully it is a W at the end.

The Heat has the longest odds to become NBA champs, by far. Deservedly so. How many teams with a negative point differential (-0.3) in the regular season have made it this far? The new play-in rules made this Heat run possible. I give them about a 10% chance to beat either BOS or PHI in a 7 game series. The 4 days off will help Butler (ankle), Adebayo (hamstring), and Lowry (age).

>>The Heat, which was outscored by a total of 26 points this regular season, is also the first team since at least 2000 to advance to the conference finals after posting a negative point differential in the regular season.<<

I regret to inform everyone I will be watching the game today on tape delay, thus you will not get to witness my meltdowns with every other possession as I will be avoiding this thread until I've watched the game.

Good luck Philly fans and Godspeed to the Celtics.

But to suspend him it has to be against some rule. Last time part of the issue was he was on a team road-trip and there is a rule against having a gun on road-trips.

I guess it’s probably illegal to wave a gun around in a car driving down a street? With all these open carry laws I don’t know.

I’m not saying he shouldn’t or won’t get a lengthy suspension. I just don’t understand how this will play out.

Eric Lewis, Celtics fan, reffing game 7 today. Are you kidding me
Add in Scott Foster and you have a recipe for disaster. Even if there is nothing to it, the NBA has to know that people are tracking stuff like this and you wonder why they would double dip and open themselves up to so much criticism. Maybe they are still bitter about the Process tanking.

He won’t get hit hard by the league for no other reason than Silver has no interest in the disciplinary aspects of the commissioner’s job.

I went in the basement and dug out my old Sixers Matt Geiger jersey (no judging, I had valid reasons at the time), throwing it on over my Harden/Beard tee. My son has on his Iverson throwback for the first time this year. Hoping that repping players from the 2000-01 NBA finals team somehow reverses 22 years of disappointment.

File a protest and postpone game 7, imo

Wizards likely to sell their whole team once they get a GM. That GM will do anything they can to move Beal. Porzingis likely to opt out. Kuzma certain to opt out. Maybe they can get relegated to the Italian League. Gotta think teams can find a use for the latter two. Beal seems physically done to me.
What are you basing this on? Doesn’t seem like anything leonsis would ever allow.

I mean, silver can only do what the cba allows. Like jux said, they got him last time on the fact that it was a team road trip.

They said the refs came into Sixers locker room around halftime to apologize for missing multiple calls. I think harden and someone else said it in the postgame interviews

These refs are so bad.

Yet it may be worse listening to the announcers justify fouls where a player isn’t touched. Yeah. That’s a good call. There was a touch there. Um. No there wasn’t.

It’s all rigged

Lol what in the heck is Harden supposed to do there? Are they really acting like he went up with a roll in and somehow fouled brown on purpose?

is Al Hawfid's defensive positioning so good that Embiid can't back him down? i get that he's got a good base and he's sinking his hips to get leverage but Embiid just seems to test a bump, then give up.
