If he didn’t get hurt last year, Lebron wins MVP and he’s playing the exact same way except he’s shooting threes better. And the year before he won a championship.
I told you 8 was rough.Curious who Frosty is targeting at 8 assuming who I think goes next goes next.
Wow. Next 2 as well. I thought they were the top 6 for sure, but surprised someone didn't reach and that they fell exactly as I had them slotted.The first 4 picks have gone in the exact order I had them in. I knew the first few would be fairly predictable, but I'm surprised its gone exact....can't ever remember that happening in an NBA draft.
Oh wow, thought he might fall to me at 15.I’m going with the best young player in the NBA, Ja Morant, the future superstar.
He wouldn’t have made it past 11.Oh wow, thought he might fall to me at 15.
Congrats Frosty! (I think)

@Juxtatarot pick or die
nice value. this is actually who i thought @PIK95 wanted to trade up for. i never had to think about 3-4, but it would have been hiim or KD @ 3 overall. talk about carrying a bad team....i only worry that he would still have to "carry" a good teamThis is who I was going to go with if none of who I thought were the top 7 were going to fall to me. Luckily, #7 did and I proudly select:
1.8 PG Luka Doncic, DAL
He has some warts, but they all do at this point, and he is insanely talented. He's also versatile enough that it won't be that tough to put a team around him and I can go in a lot of differernt directions with this team now.
@jvdesigns2002 has been sexted.
is this team supposed to play a full season and then playoffs?
and is that starting like tomorrow (assuming full health and not changing?)
Nothing wrong with this pick at all. You just have to put the right team around him.I really hated this draft position because I am debating for like 5 different players right now. I ended up picking a guy that most people will think is a waste of a pick—but he happens to be one of my favorite players. His defense can be a liability—but I love how he controls the pace of a game, I love that his has great handles, and great vision. He’s a dude that is basically averaging 29-9. I also like how the intensity of the playoffs didn’t seem to get to him at all. I will take Trae Young here. As a favor—I do need to get back to work—can I bother somebody to look up the draft order and @ the next pick for me? I’d really appreciate it.
1.9. Trae young.
I definitely considered Paul (before Luka became available). From a team building persepective he's a great start.With health not being an issue, it makes this pick a lot easier. At 1.10 I'll select:
PG Chris Paul - PHX
He's my least favorite player of all-time, but for this exercise he was the 8th player on my draft board. Last year he almost pulled it off and the Suns are in position to make a run again.
Wonder if we're going to eventually look back on Zion/Ja like we do Bowie/Jordan.I agree with the Ja love and would have been happy with him. I think the next ten years is going to be a battle for best player in the league between Ja and a certain someone I won't name who I love as if he was my own child.

Oden/DurantWonder if we're going to eventually look back on Zion/Ja like we do Bowie/Jordan.
I saw Oden in the stands a few years ago at one of the regional rounds in Boise. Dude could barely walk. Sad.Oden/Durant
I thought I saw something along the lines of if Zion doesn’t play this year, he’ll have similar minutes in his first 3 seasons as Oden. Too lazy to fact check thatOden/Durant
A few of the items that some of these "not quite super" teams will face are problems on defense, an odd mix of positional capabilities, five starters with well over 20% usage rates, or a lack of leadership / singular alpha / who handles the rock questions. I'm locked in at the 1 now, but every other item was a notch in Paul's favor over similarly talented players still available.I definitely considered Paul (before Luka became available). From a team building persepective he's a great start.
In real life, that's an item to be aware of. Here (with health guaranteed) not so much. Chris Paul is still an elite efficiency player...just not for 36 minutes a night, 82 games a season, plus 16+ playoff games.He's healthy but he's still 36. You'll have to manage his minutes.
Watching 80's NBA was the highlight of my childhood. My dad actually had vhs tapes of every Celtics game from like 84-87. Half were broadcast on sports channel, the other half was 38. Good times.wikkidpissah said:the thing some folks are forgetting about Bird/Magic is the impact their audacious skills & attitudes had on foes and teammates on the floor.

Magic, then Russell are my 1-2 in alltime choosies, altho i understand that others could do more. i've always been more interested in getting guys open and shutting them down than other aspects of hoopsWatching 80's NBA was the highlight of my childhood. When it comes to the g.o.a.t. argument of Jordan or Lebron, I vote Kareem.
Both of them are in my top five. Kareem #1, Russell #2, Magic #3, Lebron probably #4, Jordan #5, and Wilt #6....probablyMagic, then Russell are my 1-2 in alltime choosies, altho i understand that others could do more. i've always been more interested in getting guys open and shutting them down than other aspects of hoops
Who is up? I see a small tier of Alpha's still available.
Are you a Warrior's fan? I forgot.I feel better about picking at 1.13 now than I did when @djackson10 was on the clock
