2022 NBA Roster Draft - This draft goes to 12! (2 Viewers)

Anyone watching Nets-Nugs?  Never saw a a guy get a tech WHILE on the Free Throw line.  Of course he got his second not long after, lol.

Brief discussion on my two earlier picks.

Goran Dragic G - After some early October games he was sent home so the Raptors could find him a forever home, so this is a bit of a bet that he lands with the Mavs or somebody similar and can produce at the same high level of the last couple years. He has always been a combo guard that excels in the pick and roll game. As recently as last year he was averaging as many pick and rolls and drives as Lebron and was starting for the Heat in the playoffs. He's still a VERY capable point guard in this league that will get the opportunity here in the next two weeks to show it.

Joe Ingles F - I absolutely love Joe Ingles' game and wish he would have come stateside a half decade sooner. He has a game very similar to Hedo Turkoglu - he has often been the defacto backup PG for the Jazz, averaging over 5 ap36 for the last half decade while shooting over 40% from three on nearly six attempts per game. Defensively, he's very crafty and feisty, and will give 100% effort even if he doesn't have the foot speed any longer to be a positive on that end.

My bench is.... something. Dragic, Curry, Hield, Ingles.

The Nuggets are blacked out to probably 75% of the Denver area because of a now 3 year contract standoff between Comcast and Kroenke, so unlikely that any local Nuggets fans are watching. I didn't know that I could hate a company bad enough to side with Stan Kroenke, but here we are.

That and a buck might get you something on the dollar menu.

Similar here in Charlotte.  NBA has dropped the ball on getting their product out.

I grabbed DirecTV Stream to get Bally's for the rest of the year. The app is completely abysmal, but its the only streaming option.

I actually get Bally.  We're TDS now after the towns of Mooresville and Davidson couldn't run a cable company at a profit despite having the highest rates around and gave up.

This dude looks like an original member of Huey Lewis and the News, or maybe Sha Na Na.  I bet he makes his free throws though.

Yes, but I only will use streaming services I can cancel monthly. That company is a major PITA to deal with and I have no interest in boxes or anything like that.
Not here to shill for them, but they do have a streaming app and subscription with no contract, at least in Wilmington.  I never had an issue, but only tried it for a few months, so I’m sure they have issues

@Doug B

I believe Otto porter was selected by facook. Pick 144 on the spread sheet .  As long as you didn’t want Torrey Craig—we are good. The pick is back to you
All right, let's try ...

8.05: Jae'Sean Tate, SF, Houston

Ok, really

let’s go with

9.07 - Chris Duarte

youre going to tell me that in the 9th round we can’t use a wing who can shoot and play some D?  No, we will take it, thanks.

Good to know. These guys still call me multiple times a week to try and sell me home phone service.

I looked at him so many times earlier, I thought he got picked.  Another good one.

He can also probably captain your social soccer team.  🙂

Need a backup center to give me 10 ,minutes a game. AD is playing center full time like he should, and Collins can play a few minutes there when I go small.

Lamarcus Aldridge - Center

There are two guys that I was strongly considering at the turn and I'm shocked they are still out there, one in particular.

Had to double check he wasn’t taken yet.

9.10 - Danilo Gallinari, PF - Hawks

16/7 per 36 with 40% on 3s and a league leading 93% fts. Great fit on my team that adds a nice component to my frontcourt.

9.11 Jalen Suggs ORL PG

3rd string point guard with energy.  Team really needs a kid to go get the donuts in the morning, wear the Hello Kitty backpack, and generally be there to push the team in practice and give the vets an outlet for some razzing / team bonding.  Love his upside.

What if I told you that the player with the best defensive rating in the entire league was still available? Because he is. And now he's mine.

9.13 F Andre Iguodala, GS

At this point my rotation is basically set, but having a vet who can come in and shut down an opposing player and multiple positions in late game situations is a wonderful luxury to have.

9.14 Kyle Anderson

At pick 9 he might be out of the regular rotation but I see him as a skilled, low usage backup at the 4.

9.15 Ivica Zubac, C, LAC

At this point, looking for a back up big who may not play every night. A little surprised he's still available, even with centers being so undervalued. He's a smart player, a good rebounder who provides some semblance of rim protection and can finish inside.

@Desert_Poweris up next.

Max Strus Wing Adding a shooter to the bench who has really stepped up in Miami this year. Averaging .398% from behind the arc on good volume.

Can't access the sheet now, but I think it is: @Instinctive

9.17 Demarcus Cousins

I need a guy who can have the offense flow through him for 12 minutes a night and can step up now and again when needed, especially against some of the bigger teams. Has actually looked pretty good this year every time I see him. Running into a meeting maybe @JMon348 next?

9.18 Davion Mitchell G

Off night can give me a couple minutes off the bench when needed.  Offense is hopefully coming along, good game last night.  He walked in to the league as an elite on ball defender so anything on O is a bonus.

if i hadnt taken Westbrook, he woulda been my 7th rder. one of maybe a dozen future AllStars in this rookie class.

I guess you missed him last night, lol.
