PAC-12 turns down $30 M from ESPN.
The kicker when he talks about the ACC, the Domers wanted the ACC to take Cal and Stanford...the same ND that won't join the conference fully.

So wow seems like a good chance that Cal and Stanford and SMU end up in the ACC. Could still fall apart but sides still working to get that last vote needed from the obstinate 3 (UNC NC St Clemson and Fla St)
Along the lines of SMU taking no media revenue for 7 years and Cal/Stanford getting a reduced value). Basically SMU subsidizing Cal and Stanford joining. Very creative if it pans out that way.

This sucks. LSU DT Maason Smith is suspended for the FSU game for receiving improper benefits. How is that even possible these days?

Cal and Stanford to the ACC.
Wash St and Oregon St retain the rights to the PAC12 Network. The Big12 brings them in and takes over the network to air games that nobody but a handful will be able to watch.
One day, I hope the implosion of the Pac12 becomes something college students can study for a semester.

LSU ahead of tOSU seems like a bit of a hot take. And Washington took a hit imo when they lost their starting running back for the season, though it's gonna be the Penix show regardless.

Washington’s RB room is the deepest on the team this year. It was going to be RBBC regardless, but losing Davis was a blow. He did score 13 TDs last season.

Possibly. It could also be Bama. It's hard to tell if LSU was a fluke last year, but their QB situation is as good as anyone's. Who is going to start for Bama? The ND guy?

There's no way I would ever call LSU the leader for being overrated (mainly because that post would be bumped after a certain game), but I do think both LSU and Alabama are slotted higher than they should be. Of the top 10, I would actually tab Washington as being overrated. Penix is great but that defense is not. I think they lose a shootout to USC and a dogfight to Utah. The Oregon game is another potential loss for them.
Bama's got their own set of games they could lose this year as well. Texas, Tennessee, and LSU will all be tough matchups, but all of them are at home. I'm expecting a 2-1 record out of those, although 1-2 wouldn't surprise me. 3-0 would be great and is possible, and 0-3 would be a real disappointment. Ole Miss you always have to watch out for, but again it is at home. I expect Auburn will surprise people under Hugh Freeze so that is likely our toughest road game.
I expect a return to a more ground and pound offense, with an improved defense under more aggressive schemes with Kevin Steele. I expect the starter to be Milroe, with Simpson and Buchner playing a lot in the first game. I expect the starter by year end may be Simpson. Buchner has familiarity with Tommy Rees, but Saban essentially kept the Bama offense and expects Rees to build around that. I'm not sure that Buchner's familiarity with Rees will outweigh more talented players, and I don't think Saban would allow Rees to make an under the table promise to Buchner of starting.
Our RB room is really improved but the WRs are still underwhelming. I've heard good things about Malik Benson and expect him to eventually be WR1.
Not a championship year for Bama I don't think. Hopeful to grab the SEC West title but I'm not sure who's going to stop Georgia from a 3peat unless the QB is just unplayable. Tennessee feels like the only competition to them out of the East.

For those who bet, I like Navy +20.5. They can shorten the game with their run game and tend to travel well. And even though it's in Ireland, ND is not really the home team.

Just kidding, I'm not really sold on ND but I know Navy has been down. They also had all spring and summer to practice for that offense. I wasn't confident in the number to take either side.
