I'd love to see Ole Miss get screwed here, but in this case, I doesn't seem like Kiffin did anything wrong. Was he a jerk? Sure, but this just screams BS lawsuit from a guy trying to cash in since he was never going to go pro. When did it become legal to record someone without their permission?
Tough subject…Seems like he put a lot more effort in with a recording and a lawyer though than finding help at the school, which I believe is really easy. Instead he just self-diagnosed and avoided everyone?
That's what it sounds like. He and mom didn't like where he was on the depth chart, so he basically quit showing up or talking to the coaches so they kicked him off the team. I would have too. It seems pretty obvious that he was just setting them up for a frivolous lawsuit. Even used racism and sexism somehow, which to me was an obvious tactic to get the university to settle. There was nothing racist that I could see, and I have no idea how they even worked sexism into it.

Any Cincinnati fans here? I’m coming to town for the OU game on the 23rd. Game is at 11, looking for recommendations on places to go before the game and then after to watch the other games. Planning on going to the Reds game Friday night.
The game is 11 am? Then I'd suggest Rhinegeist post game. That place was a ton of fun for late afternoon/early evening Saturday football. Can't be more than a mile walk.

Not a walk I'd recommend.
...still? It seemed like a fine area when we were there 2 years. A LOT better than what it was when I was an undergrad 2 decades ago. We didn't do that specific walk though, so while Rhinegeist was a great area perhaps in between is still a problem.

Sounds like they are using "you didn't reprimand women asking for mental health days but reprimanded me, a man" as a basis for sexism. Seems like a stretch.

I agree that it's quite a stretch. Apples and oranges at best. Women weren't playing football for Kiffin, so I'm not sure how that comparison is relevant. If mom was so worried about his mental health, why didn't she get him some help? Did she just sit around waiting for his football coaches to do something? Hell, he's a grown up. Take some personal responsibility for Fs sake.

This looks like a shameless money grab by a kid who couldn't cut it on the field.

TW's slate a step back from LW, but a few big rivalry games including the Backyard Brawl:

UTenn -6.5 @ Florida
WVU -2.5 v Pitt
UW -16.5 @ Mich St
Ole Miss -18 v GT
UNC -7.5 v Minnesota
Ark -8 v BYU
Colorado -23 v Colorado St
I used the DK boost on Tenn/Tenn 1H/2H ML - bumped up to +120. Yeah, it's the swamp at night, but Florida looked like hot garbage against Utah and that's a continuation of how last season ended. I'm starting to think Napier isn't it.

Speaking of hot garbage, Colorado State...I was leaning towards not betting on Prime for a third straight week given the size of the spread, but after that bulletin board material Norvell put up I teased Colorado up to -26.5 at +125. I thought about just focusing on 1H, but now I think he'll lay it on.

What else does the peanut gallery got?
I did like BYU +10, but it’s down to +8…hmmm.

FSU -24.5 I like.

CO State insults Deion choosing to wear sunglasses in interviews

Deion responds by gifting every one of his players a pair of the shades he has a deal with. Goes on TV and gives the hosts sunglasses. Gets tens of thousands in free marketing to recruits.

Is every coach facing CO this year going to be some version of Bruce McGIll in Wildcats?

Well, Oregon coach Dan Lanning stepped in it already so Prime's got motivation holstered for next week. Terrific.

Wait, what? What did Lanning do? Not that I'm worried, next week Prime gets a LITTLE taste of reality. Not a lot, but a little.

When Colorado announced they were leaving the Pac12 six weeks ago, Lanning (when asked about it) smirked and said something like "What did they ever win here?" or something like that. Prime is already talking about it. The guy fabricates disrespect like no other.

The guy fabricates disrespect like no other
So far, he hasn't needed to.

It's a bummer about the CO St coach, because they have a pretty cool story going on with that team, there's a great article in the Athletic. They have a sumo guy, some old kicker, a former strongman, very interesting.

Oh, I think the stuff about Matt Rhul disrespecting them was hot garbage and the reporter he went after for writing all that "Bull Junk" - Ed Werder - is a TV reporter who barely covers college. His beef with Ed goes back 30 years when he was writing about the Cowboys. He absolutely fabricates some of this crap.

I think Lanning said "When was the last time Colorado won anything?" They have had a nice start but they are going to get hammered in back to back weeks coming up versus Oregon and USC and we can stop hearing about Colorado.

I remember thinking it was poor form at the time he said it. It was true of course, but still wasn’t a great look. Deion has to be careful making a big deal about it though, given there’s a good chance he gets stomped.

FSU -24.5 I like.
This was at 28ish but I think the rain scared people off.
This makes more sense now. Knowing this I'm tempted to take both FSU and the under. Could double dip and hit both, but seems unlikely for both to miss. I can't see how BC is gonna do anything on offense, so it'd take some goofy **** for them to score enough points to screw it up. Thinking I'll tease both ends to + territory - probably a chop, but maybe I can thread the needle and get a 35-0.

Man those Mississippi State cowbells are awful and one of the worst things in college football. It’s like a redneck vuvuzela.
I was at my alma mater’s game last week. There were couple of parents there with them. A couple of them are fine. A stadium full of them? Eh, not so much.

Come on and Fight Central down the field,
Fight for Victory,
Fine fellows never yield,
We're with you o' varsity (go Central)
Onward with banners bold
To our colors we'll be true,
Fight for Maroon and Gold,
Down the field for CMU!

Victory - Rah Rah!
Varsity - Rah Rah!
Chippewas we're proud of our nickname,
Hear our song - Rah Rah!
Loud and strong - Rah Rah!
Central is going to win this game!

(Repeat Chorus)

My goodness refereeing has reached a new low in college football. These refs are worse than the volunteers at local flag football games.

Well, that didn't work.

But if Wash/Sparty hits the over I can hit my big parlay and make up for that whiff.

7-7 in South Bend

14-21 at the half

CMU (1-1) keeping it close despite their starting QB being out this week

#fireupchips
ND defense completely sleep walking out there. Freeman better fire them up at halftime.

These officials are brutal too. Missing dropped passes and non-first downs left and right.

looked like Central scored 3 times on that last series (including one that was reviewed)

Most interesting team in Colorado? Written by a Colorado State alumni. Only people in Colorado who find CSU interesting are people who go or went to CSU

When I saw the cocks as a 28.5 dog I chalked that up as well the books just know way more than me because I thought Georgia has just looked meh so far this year. Wish I bet that one.

I actually took SC this morning but it was down to 26.5 by then. Doesn't look like it will matter.
