In regards to Colorado, yesterday was no surprise (next week won't be, either). They beat 3 mediocre teams they could out-quick. They aren't big enough, nor do they have the depth of the more established programs. Oregon is bigger and faster and deeper.

If Sanders stays there and keeps his nose clean, I expect that to change. He'll be able to land top recruiting classes.

Wyoming beat App State which has to surprise most folks (including me). Yay. 3-1 baby!!!!
App St isn't at their strongest this year, but they are still pretty good. That's a nice win. Still hoping for that Wyoming/Maryland bowl game.
Agreed. I’ve seen this before with Wyoming. They start out strong in non-conference games and then get pummeled the rest of the season. Hoping it doesn’t happen this year, but I’m a realist. Terps/Pokes bowl would be awesome.

Sanders will recruit well, and he will get the 4-5 Star malcontents from other programs.

Nice choke job ND

Only having 10 players on the field for last two plays did not help matters.
From @redditcfb

And the Notre Dame fan said, “Lord, during most of the game I noticed 22 footprints in the grass, but during the most difficult times I noticed only 20, were you carrying us then?”

And the Lord sayeth, “Lol, no buddy your coach sent ten dudes out.”

Prime loves the attention and deserves it as he created a buzz again at Colorado.

Still have to play the game on the field though. Be surprised if he stays there long term.
any links to his post game presser? Did he do one? Can't seem to find it anywhere and curious about it.

Pretty darn classy.

Respect his answers, loved that he said "keep asking I got nowhere to go."

I remember when Lloyd Carr was the HC of Michigan and they were up 31-7. Carr used to get ripped because they would just keep running and punting and that would be the final score instead of 45-7.

Carr always thought to try and show some respect. Those days are over in college football now. A win is not good enough anymore, you have to keep scoring when the game is already been decided.

Tough not to love him in that setting.

I will say he has changed a lot. He still brings the swagger and crap but he definitely is humbler and tries to look out for the young men. Something long ago I think he wouldn't give 2 craps about. Definitely came with age

Ya I hate the guy but was impressed with his answers. Wasn't sure if he'd do a presser since he refused the on field interviews at halftime and after the game. He seemed respectful tho which was good.

Penn State called off the dogs up 31-0.

All the post game guys praising Bo Nix, I don't think he threw a pass over 10 yards all day.

He did have TDs of 16 and 36 but yeah, he dinked and dunked most of the day. That game was never close once. The Oregon lines dominated and that's where Deion needs to recruit most. They were manhandled.

ESPN and Fox going all Prime all the time is annoying, But I think he’s great for college football. People are watching that wouldn’t normally. It brought extra juice to Autzen yesterday, for sure. That place was nuts. 42-0 in the fourth quarter and it was still packed and loud until just a couple of minutes left.

Respected his presser afterward as well, especially taking extra questions. He knows what he’s doing, and he knows when his mouth writes checks his team can’t cash that he’s gotta take the heat, and he did.

Good to see you yesterday, @General Malaise !

Best tailgate in Eugene! Thanks for the hospitality and man, what a day! See you in Novemeber. Go Ducks!

Cincinnati's Scott Satterfield following loss to Oklahoma: "They've won a lot of championships, they've been around a long time, and this is our first game in the Big 12, and our guys went toe-to-toe. This should be encouraging to our guys and to our people."

This response infuriates me.

What do you want him to say?

Respectfully, Cincinnati isn’t Oklahoma. They don’t get those players.

Something that inspires more confidence in the program than "we're just happy to be here". Maybe I'm spoiled by Fickell's demeanor, but to me this isn't a winning attitude.

Dude, you played the varsity team. No offense, but Cincinnati is a long way away from Oklahoma in terms of talent, depth, recruiting and money. A long way away. I know you made the playoffs recently and that's incredible but your program is more than a coach's "winning attitude" away from competing week in and week out against the Oklahomas of the world. I'd be encouraged by how tough you played them.

Any Cincinnati fans here? I’m coming to town for the OU game on the 23rd. Game is at 11, looking for recommendations on places to go before the game and then after to watch the other games. Planning on going to the Reds game Friday night.
The game is 11 am? Then I'd suggest Rhinegeist post game. That place was a ton of fun for late afternoon/early evening Saturday football. Can't be more than a mile walk.

Not a walk I'd recommend.
...still? It seemed like a fine area when we were there 2 years. A LOT better than what it was when I was an undergrad 2 decades ago. We didn't do that specific walk though, so while Rhinegeist was a great area perhaps in between is still a problem.
We ended up making this exact walk after the game. I definitely understand why it wouldn’t be recommended but middle of the day it was fine. It was going to take forever to get an Uber and all the places on Short Vine were packed so we said F it. Watched the afternoon games at Rhinegeist then went to The Eagle for a fantastic dinner. Before the game we went to the big tailgate on Sigma Sigma Commons and walked around and chatted with a bunch of UC fans. Most of the trash-talk was centered around Dillon Gabriel, which didn’t really make sense to me until a drunk kid told me that Cincy fans don’t like him from his time at UCF, then it all came together. The trash talk was all in good run, the UC fans were very nice and welcoming.

Nippert is really cool - reminds me of a college version of Soldier Field. Would definitely recommend the trip for fans of other Big 12 schools if you’ve never been.

Game was pretty meh - I don’t think either team is very good tbh, but the conference looks pretty rough outside of Texas so who knows.

ACC departures beginning in Oct?

School administrators indicate an announcement about a Clemson bolt from its growing financial disadvantage in the ACC relative to SEC and Big Ten schools is coming soon, probably along with Florida State and North Carolina and perhaps another ACC school or more
Fingers crossed. Gotta go. Playing lsu was a 1000x more thrilling than games against Syracuse and Wake (even if they’ve won a few).
Would looooove to see Bama in Tally somewhat regularly.
