Odd fact about ND/Louisville tonight - ND has played against Louisville QB Jack Plummer now three straight years.

The odd part? It’s his third different team (2021 Purdue, 2022 Cal, 2023 Louisville). Has to be some odd nuance of COVID and the transfer portal rules changing.

USC kills this team next week and then the season spirals. I suspect this could be the game to look back on when Freeman collapsed once he’s gone.

You cannot just look at the record in a vacuum. Kelly won 94 of his 113 total wins against unranked opponents (39% win percent in ranked games too).

You and I will never see eye to eye on Kelly, but 10 win seasons against poor teams and embarrassing losses against real teams is what I’d call a C coach. Freeman is currently scoring less if it makes you agree with me more.
