To be fair, the other games he missed our backup OLBs were not good; Melvin Ingram (who didn't want to be here), Jamir Jones, Ryan Anderson, Taco Charlton. We now have Marcus Golden and Nick Herbig who have both played very well at times this year. They are not close to TJ Watt, he is literally DPOY (or should be), but they are capable.
The bills barely beat a battered Miami team, barely beat the terrible Pats team, beat Easton Stick lead Chargers by 2 pts, lost to the Eagles who can't beat anyone right now, and lost to the Broncos. They're not some juggernaut, yes they won 5 in a row, but they have not shown themselves to be an amazing team. The media hype is overblown.

I don't know, there's been so much bulletin board material prior to this game, and we've been really scrappy the last 3 weeks. People in the media have referred to the Steelers game as a Bye Week for the Bills. Every single show I've seen analyze the playoffs games have brushed past this game like it was a foregone conclusion. The Steelers have been great underdogs in the past. The Bills wanted it real bad for weeks and weeks and then almost laid an egg against a decimated Dolphins team. It looks like they let their foot off the gas and I would not be shocked if they came out slow.

We got a break on the fumble recovery that wasn’t called but other than that calls definitely went against us. With that said, we aren’t a team that was capable of climbing out of a 21-0 hole against this Bills team.

I personally really dislike this middle of the road obscurity. Maybe with Watt we might have been able to do something last night but at some point in the playoffs a superior outfit pummels this team. But people are coaching and playing for their jobs in a very short term world so expecting a team that can make the playoffs to not do so for a future they probably wouldn't be part of is unrealistic.
It kinda went from „this is worse than I hoped“ to „this is closer than I thought“ to „this is what I expected“.

This is called sports purgatory. Under Tomlin, unless the talent can execute perfectly since the game plan will always be as predictable as you see on film, then this will always be the end result come playoff time, regardless of who and where they play. Basically, he needs a fully stacked team that will win based on talent alone. Many Steeler fans are happy with this, while others are not. It all depends on what you value most as a fan. I know what to expect if he stays on, so I'm prepared before the season even starts.

It was within 7 in the 4th quarter, if we'd had any luck at all this game could have been ours. If Pickens doesn't drop the fumble, if Mason threw 2 ft to the left on that INT, if Levi Wallace could tackle, if Pat P could tackle, if Minkah could tackle?! Let's be honest, it was a lot closer than most of the country expected. The final score both does and doesn't tell the whole tale.
The biggest need outside QB is at center (possibly bigger need than QB). Mason was pressured on over 40% of drop backs and Mason Cole alone allowed 10 to Ed Oliver.

Yeah I think my post was when they were getting blown out early. The game turned with the blocked kick and they showed a lot of grit after that. Outcome still ended up the same. It would be nice to get a playoff win.
