2024-25 NBA Thread: for the second time, somebody in Dallas hits low percentage shot that leads to a generation of conspiracy theories (15 Viewers)

Just a reminder that NBA players et al voted Tyrese Haliburton as the most overrated player in the league. Morons.

Dude just asked Cleveland what his taint smells like.
Pretty low class for players to respond to that kind of "poll." Wonder where the dislike for him comes from.

Indiana shot the lights out from 3 and the Cavs sucked from 3. Sure hope this isn't 2009 again when Cavs won 66 games was #1 seed and choked to Orlando in game 1 and never recovered.

I don't think this is a choke. If a team is going to shoot over 50 percent from three and make 19 of them then they are going to win 95 percent of their games.

These look like 2 teams running on fumes. I've noticed that in a lot of game 7's. Legs just aren't there and shooting suffers. Plus, I'm of the opinion that familiarity helps defense. If you've seen a team's offense and the player's indidual moves over 6 games, it is easier to defend them.

Vibes of 2004 Pistons vs Pacers.

Worst uniforms I've ever seen. My god, Houston, you used to be something. That's ridiculous. H-Town?
It was over for classic jerseys in the playoffs when LeBron was leading Cleveland back from 3-1 and they played a historic game 7 in fn ugly T-shirts. Just unforgivable.

This is a big hit to the “best two words in sports are ‘game seven’ crowd”

Most of us were watching NHL's Game 7 which was dynamite!

NHL playoffs >>>>> NBA.

Get out of here noob!

What blowout games are there today in the Association?
Hello, Mr. Malaise, and welcome to our fun little discussion thread about the National Basketball Association.

To answer your question, there are two contests slated for today. At 6pm EST the Cleveland Cavaliers will host the Indiana Pacers in game 1 of their Eastern Conference Semifinal series. Following that, at 8:30pm the Houston Rockets will host the Golden State Warriors in a deciding game 7 of their first round series.

While we hope both games will be competitive and entertaining for all fans, sometimes one team has a bad game and the scores can become more lopsided. Part of the excitement as a spectator lies in the wonder and anticipation of what could happen during a competitive contest and the longer an outcome is in doubt, the greater opportunity for one team to make a dramatic play and win a close game on the final play of the game.

Even if the final scores are not close, I would recommend tuning in to observe the competition among some of the best basketball players in the world today!

Blessings,
Jayrod

Spoken like a person who has never watched a playoff hockey game. You should try one of those - in fact, there is a Game 7 in the NHL today. Guarantee you that it won't be over by 1st intermission....
WInnipeg-St Louis game checks out. Crazy ending to send it to OT.

Cavs were 10-6 this season without Garland or Mobley. Put this, the above, and 9-38 of their own three point shooting (first game of single digit 3's all season) together and you have what we saw tonight. Not worried about game 2 regardless, but need healthy Darius back when we go to Indy. Gotta tee up that zone too, just not on such a hot shooting night, get them off balance - those switches to JA were painful.

No fumes in the Game 7 NHL game, in OT now. But they're the better athletes soooooo.......

Not sure if I mentioned it in here the past few seasons but I downright loathe Jalen Green. He's worse than Harden in big games. 4 points, no assists. Thanks for playing! Great cheerleader though.
