2024-25 NBA Thread: for the second time, somebody in Dallas hits low percentage shot that leads to a generation of conspiracy theories (113 Viewers)

In close games against good teams like this the Pistons are limited. They have three guys that can't really shoot or score, with Duran, Thompson and Stewart. They can really only have one of those guys on the court at a time, having two of them is trouble, and I think they had all three of them on the court for a minute which is a recipe for disaster.

9 minutes left Piston up by 8, I let the dog out for a couple minutes, grab a beer from garage fridge, come back in and they are down by 11.

Rewind and watch the that 4-5 minute sequence. Pistons turned the ball over at least 5 times, bad shots, threw a couple passes OB..painful to watch.

Cunningham still turns the ball over too much.

I mean he is going to have to learn the playoffs and the Knicks have two really good defenders to throw at him in Bridges and OG.

It is very difficult to win in the NBA right now if you have guys on the floor that can't shoot or create their own shoot. A third of the Pistons rotation has this problem.

If the Pistons ever want to advance past the 2nd round they are going to have to get rid of two of those guys or Thompson learns to shoot and they get rid of one of those guys.

I think they showed their inexperience in the 4th quarter of a playoff game.

When you get crazy blowouts like this I always wonder at what point could OKC just take shot clock violations and still win. I think they are there at 6 minutes left in the 3rd.

Funny tidbit: that three quarter heave by Bagley to beat the buzzer at the end of the third was technically the first fast break points the Grizzlies scored in the game.

I'm pretty upset they put him on the bench. Nothing at all positive about this game. Just let the man keep cooking.

I'm really glad I opted for Easter brunch instead of watching that game. What an *** kicking. I thought Memphis would at least put up a fight.

Not to be that guy, but how many teams could the Nuggets beat by 51 if Jokic has a subpar game?

I think that is his point. OKC is a cut above everyone else.
Ohhh my bad. I interpreted it as a MVP argument in favor of SGA.

(Sorry, my kids have been especially oppositional today)

He might. I read it my way.
