2024 College Football Thread: Ohio State advances to play unbeaten hypothetical SEC team (2 Viewers)

I don't know how you guys on the west coast watch football in the middle of a week day. It's weird.

I feel the same way about the east coast. Abysmal having to wait so long for games to start. Torture.

Plus today is a holiday for everybody on the West Coast because out here, we respect MLK. Not like the people in Michigan who don't get it off.
The people in Michigan don't get the day off? The govt has a law or something? Didn't know that.

Not really a day off for me today. Working in LA to help support those who've lost everything. We decided to call it a day after starting at 6 and going til 4.

Thank you for your service.

I married into a Michigan family in 2008. I've always been flummoxed that most of them work this day. Not shool teachers or federal employees but the folks working corporate don't get the day off.

Out on the west coast, it's a day off. Unless you serve or work some retail.
FWIW 3/4 of my West coast clients didn't have the day off. My firm has it off nationally but most holidays float and if you're on a client working it, you work it too and get a day of PTO later.

So the only energy sector client in CA that had it was the state enterprise.

Maybe just generally better not to make giant sweeping statements that seem designed just to upset someone lol.

Wow really.

None of my wife's family members who live in Michigan get MLK off. It's bizarre to me. Other than folks in the service industry, nobody on the west coast that I know had work today.

Weird to me.
There's many people that don't get today off, not just in Michigan. But to say, oh we respect MLK was uncalled for.

Oh, well.....I'm sorry I hurt your feelings.
You didn't but, not a surprising response from the West Coast.

Got it. You can take jabs, but not me. Cool.

Bruh, I was responding to a post making a sweeping statement.

4:30 is the middle of the day?

This thing kicked off right about 5 anyway, not like were here on lunch my dude
Is for me

I'm used to settling in for pregame and all that stuff a couple hours after that, then the game. We got to hotel and game was getting ready to start.
Meh, besides commercials, pre-game shows are the biggest waste of air time out there imo.

Personally I’d rather the game be played when I don’t need to get up for work the next morning.

Speak for yourself pal. The city of Houston is shutting down for this huge winter storm tomorrow. We're expecting at least 2 inches of snow.

So far Day's kept his wits about him. Maybe they'll go "tough" once they are up 2 or 3 scores.

Whoever is calling the offense for ND needs to wake up though.

Still 27 secs left remember what OSU did in the final secs of the half vs Texas they better be on their toes here.

Notre Dame is playing too much zone and it’s causing all of these open receivers. Same plan and result against USC. I suspect they’ll switch to man at the half and they might still get burned, but they have to try something different.

On offense, Denbrock giving Love only 3 carries is both predictable and criminal. Just has to keep slinging it around.

ND is also slanting everywhere on defense. When they played straight up is when you saw the few successful defensive plays. Need to switch that up too especially if they aren’t going to get hands on Howard
