SMU should get in if they lose to Clemson. Clemson no chance. Alabama will get in now over both Miami and South Carolina watch. So acc went from potentially 3 teams to 1. Typical.

Don't 5 conf champs have to make it?SMU should get in if they lose to Clemson. Clemson no chance. Alabama will get in now over both Miami and South Carolina watch. So acc went from potentially 3 teams to 1. Typical.
I meant with a loss. If Clemson wins, they both make it. If SMU wins, only SMU makes it. But I won't be shocked if they make sure Alabama gets in.Don't 5 conf champs have to make it?SMU should get in if they lose to Clemson. Clemson no chance. I’d assume smu is out there.Think SMU is out with a Clemson win? Not that Clemson is great but it will be a home game.So acc went from potentially 3 teams to 1. Typical.
Googled for my own understanding
12 teams will be selected to the Playoff field, with the five highest-ranked conference champions earning automatic bids
The four highest-ranked conference champions will be seeded 1-4 and each will receive a first-round bye
Teams seeded 5-12 will play each other in the first round on the home field of the higher-ranked team
Me thinks that’s the plan tonight.I want Dan Lanning to beat this purple team into pulp suitable for a morning mimosa.

Looking ahead to ND’s home playoff game. Average weather on Dec 20-21 in South Bend = mid 30’s highs, high 20’s lows and snow should be expected. (Assume 32 degree kickoff with snow)
If they draw a southern team, the weather will certainly come into play for the teams and kickers.
Bama and SCar are the 2 SMU fans now.We all realize with the chaos today that Alabama snuck in again, right?
Not sure what you're asking. I think the teams in some order will be:Who are the next 8 in a SMU loses scenario hereI meant with a loss. If Clemson wins, they both make it. Do they practice indoors all of the time? Or are they outside?Looking ahead to ND’s home playoff game. Average weather on Dec 20-21 in South Bend = mid 30’s highs, high 20’s lows and snow should be expected. (Assume 32 degree kickoff with snow)

This is way overblown. The players on ND are just as unfamiliar with cold weather as even the SEC teams. Just because it happens to sometimes get cold there doesn't mean they are at all better prepared. They might get at most one game below freezing per four years.

The weather didn't turn until about 10 days ago.Do they practice indoors all of the time? Or are they outside?Looking ahead to ND’s home playoff game. Average weather on Dec 20-21 in South Bend = mid 30’s highs, high 20’s lows and snow should be expected. (Assume 32 degree kickoff with snow)

Let's say they are outside. How many below freezing days are in South bend a year between August and November
They also live in it every day. Most years there are two cold home games and sometimes there is a crazy snow game late in the season.Looking ahead to ND’s home playoff game. Average weather on Dec 20-21 in South Bend = mid 30’s highs, high 20’s lows and snow should be expected. (Assume 32 degree kickoff with snow)

I think there are acclimation benefits to living in it, but the weather didn't turn until 10 days ago. They also live in it every day. I’m sure someone else can correct me if I’m wrong, but I remember reading a year or more ago that Alabama hasn’t played a game north of the Mason-Dixon since the 1940s. None. No bowl games, nothing.
I think it might be under appreciated depending upon who lands where. USC refuses to play ND late in the season at ND because of the cold. They can’t do that anymore in the Big Ten, but it’s worth seeing how this plays out with teams like ND and PSU possibly hosting home games in December.
Assuming they're above whoever emerges among Az St, BYU, Iowa St, and Colorado, yes.So sorry Clemson wins next week and they get a bye???
I could see Arizona St and Boise being ranked ahead of them and get the bye. If UNLV or Iowa St/K-State wins, then Clemson probably gets the bye.So sorry Clemson wins next week and they get a bye???
I don’t know. Ryan Day watches Matt Eberflus and says “hold my beer.”Dear Ohio State,
Please don't fire Ryan Day.

I'm thinking it'll be OSU @ Tennessee, Indiana @ Texas / Georgia, and am very curious whether 3 loss SEC will be penciled in for Penn St or ND.Given the upsets, some kinda ugly matchups projected right now. Woof
Oregon
Texas
SMU
BSU
Georgia @ Tennessee
ASU @ Penn State
Indiana @ OSU
Clemson @ ND
They might want something more like this, that is having a first round with no in-conference games.I'm thinking it'll be OSU @ Tennessee, Indiana @ Texas / Georgia, and am very curious whether 3 loss SEC will be penciled in for Penn St or ND.Given the upsets, some kinda ugly matchups projected right now. That's what Roman Wilson was saying last year. He said they are all show, no heart. Don't really want a fight.Michigan won in the trenches.
They have beat up OSU physically now for 4 years. OSU has all these shiny 5 star players, but the need to recruit more gritty type of players.
