Jeanty is amazing and just had another long td run. The blocking by BsU on that run was perfection. A WR blocked 2 guys.
Without watching, my guess is Todd Blackledge. Dude is awful.Who is the idiot announcer on NBC basically saying Wisconsin should sit on the ball with 2 and half minutes so they don't make a mistake.
No offense but you are accurate glass half full crybabyIf Oregon doesn't score here this game is over.

Cry baby. Yes.
Not sure what the other gibberish means. Edit maybe?

And he just scored his 3rd TD. Yeah, he should definitely be invited to the Heisman Award Ceremony.Jeanty is amazing and just had another long td run. The blocking by BsU on that run was perfection. A WR blocked 2 guys.
Phantom chop block brings back the Wisconsin first down.
That's a touchdown!!!!
Not a big deal but Oregon continues to find the worst uniform combinations to wear. Silver & black neither part of the school colors. Meanwhile their green & yellow is among the best. But I digress.
Not when they come out with a delay after a touchback. Then tru 4 straight passes when they have a decent amount of time and 3 timeouts. Also, Wisconsin has no chance whatsoever at tying let alone winning this game.
LOL what a ridiculously horrendously bad tactical call.
Idiotic.
Kick the fg and make them drive the field for a TD.
Baaaaaaaad coaching.
Fortunately for Oregon it’s the Badgers.

The numbering exception is simple and every level of college football talks about it and enforces it.He was wrong. The assumption is Kiser took the snap under center. If he had, he’d have been right. Kiser was a yard back, so his read of the rule is wrong.Ok What does that have to do with the play if they are lined up to punt? This booth referee makes no sense on how the ND fake punt was illegal
He "explained" it and I still have no idea
Near as I can tell, if you are in a scrimmage formation your 5 linemen have to be numbers 50 to 79. A punt formation they don't have to. There's no "reporting eligible" like in the NFL.
Assuming that's the rule, looks like the officials got it right. But it's a stupid rule to take a gorgeous play like that away. So you basically can't do a fake punt with someone moving under center unless you use your offensive lineman? That's just dumb.
Two 70+ yard touchdowns taken off the board this series.
Right on cue, the refs rule a dropped catch a pass. They’re doing all they can to keep Virginia in the game. BD needs to send this tape to the ACC and tell them their refs are no longer welcome.

yeah, that was weird and dumb
edit: guess it doesn't matter

It’s gotten to the point that I’m rooting for Nebraska to make a bowl game.I know no one was watching but the USC Nebraska game was as back and forth as you would expect from two equally terrible teams.

In order to be allowed to run a play without 5 offensive lineman (#50-79), you must be in a kick formation. Either punt with 1 guy 10 yds or more deep or FG with a kicker & holder 7 yds deep.
If you don't meet either criteria, the numbering exception isn't allowed and it is an illegal formation. I've seen it called on a fake FG. Every special teams coach should know that rule. It's been around at least 20 years.

After the game, the refs met with Freeman and told him it was their “interpretation” of the formation that caused the penalty. The numbering exception is simple and every level of college football talks about it and enforces it.He was wrong. When he was at ND he got over the top abusive. I imagine the administration said something to him after it was getting pointed out on broadcasts. As he underwent a change of demeanor that was pretty noticeable. Not saying he still wasn't a jerk, but it was at most normal coach levels at least where it was publicly visible.
I haven't watched many LSU games closely enough to notice. Has he reverted to his old form again?
I just read up on it and apparently the issue revolved around the first statement of the rule that says "no one in position to take a hand to hand snap" what us commonly referred to as under center. After the game, the refs met with Freeman and told him it was their “interpretation” of the formation that caused the penalty. The numbering exception is simple and every level of college football talks about it and enforces it.He was wrong. Freeman knew the rule and disagreed the formation should have been declared a punting formation in the way they lined up, but that’s what apparently happened. He also said it lit a fire under the team so it worked out in ND’s favor anyways.
They then called this a catch shortly thereafter as well : https://x.com/johndbrice1/status/1857932098264330614?s=46&t=MdTx4FFmmebH2Sw5eQ8I0Q
Dan is too aggressive yet again, but unlike twice against the other UW last year he got away with it.
Worst performance for the Ducks in 8 weeks. In related news, they’re the only team in the country to play 8 straight weeks, including three road games 2+ time zones away.
And did all that missing our best defensive player and best WR the past 3 games, hope they’re back in 2 weeks.
Win and move on.
If only they’d executed his flawless game plan.

There was this. And that was before he was in his QBs face after a failed 4th down that ended the game.

Yeah, that looked like something straight out of his old behavior. He'd stopped doing that for a few years.
Normally if a guy at least has a good number of wins for your team and has them in bowl games and such, you'll be favorably inclined towards a coach. I never really liked him at ND though and was glad to see him go if just for that.
It’s what Kelly literally was saying to the player on the sidelineYou sound ****ing uncoachableBrian Kelly seems…..incredibly unlikeable.
Totally, it’s completely normal for a head coach to dress down his players on the sideline every time plays don’t go as they hoped (hint, they have like 24 assistants to do this not on camera). Multiple times a game.
I don’t know who you root for, so forgive my ignorance, but are you an LSU fan defending him?
It’ll be interesting to see how the committee treats a SEC team who loses in the conference title game for their third loss compared to a team with two losses who doesn’t make the title game. Is making the conference championships a potential negative for the two-loss SEC teams? So it seems texas and bama on collision course for.sec championship. What happens to bama if they lose?

overdue, imo. this is a state that produces farm kids. stick to the roots and get those maulers back and let em maul.Wisconsin fired their OC Phil Longo today. He came with great fanfare with his "Air Raid" offense which sounds impressive. I'm sure it sucks to be fired before the season is over but no complaints. He lost his quarterback this year and the back up isn't good enough to hold serve. For Badger fans the worst part has been seeing our traditionally strong OL get pushed back game after game. A strong OL and running game has been Wisconsin's identity for so long and that's gone now with nothing to show for it.

Couldn’t be happier with this development. Lewis is ready to start now but he’s already high maintenance and Longstreet has more upside imo.
