2025 Miami Dolphins - Week 4; when winning is really losing and the Cheetah is broken. (8 Viewers)

Kelly: Dolphins Players Struggling to Buy-in to Fangio's Scheme
Fangio is getting flak from fans on twitter, pundits on ESPN, and local beat reporters. Even some players are offering subtle critiques. I think some of the players are not as good as expected, and Fangio hasn't adjusted to his player's strength. He took some blame this week for the loss. If the Giant's offense comes alive this week, watch out!

First season in new system is always a slow start... I think they'll be ok but maybe not to the level we hoped

Not a huge fan of Claypool because he seems like a locker room problem, but to get that kind of talent for a 6th/7th round swap is a no brainer.
Eventually the "it's you not me" approach stops working. He just comes across as someone I wouldn't want in my locker room. Imo
I dont disagree, but they can walk away from him at any time. Swapping a 6/7 is worth the risk to see if they can get him in line. Dangerous 3rd/4th WR if they can get him right.

TStead back to the shelf, this time for IR... #ThanksLiam

My guesses ... Connor Williams would play if it weren't the NYG, he will rest and we get Liam one more week. J Phillips will play. Elliot will play.

David Bakhtiari
11 yr-Vet Tackle
Currently on Packers and they would like to part ways
His contract is goofy and he restructured and there's a lot of dead cap to absorb and quite frankly its above my pay grade
But while we're offering circus peanuts for guys, lets get a decent OL to help fill in while Armstead is on the shelf

We need more Van Ginkel!
And we need some more OL I think

Bakhtiari said today he is getting surgery and is out for the year.

Alright, scratch him off he list

Fangio - BUST (We have plenty of talent and the worst D in the NFL)

Chubb - BUST (His jersey number is darn close to his value)

Liam - BUST (great move trading away Dan Feeney for a ham sandwich)

Armstead - DONE (Dude needs to retire)

Wilkins/Raekwon - INVISIBLE (At least we didnt extend and overpay Wilkins)

Yet another season where we get tickled and teased, only to plummet back down to earth to get pummelled and humiliated.

Such is the life of a Dolphins fan.
Man Frank the Tank went off on the Dolphins this week. Entertaining
I dont get the Frank the Tank reference.
Frank the Tank from Barstool usually goes off on the Mets. But he’s a Dolphin fan and he went off after the Bills blowout. Called em frauds etc. look up his your tube/tik tok stuff. Entertaining

Didn’t play well at all but took care of business and got the W - need to do the same vs CAR this week.

Cant stop watching the Achane TD run. The block by the TE Smythe was incredible.

Amazing how much better this Oline plays when Connor Williams is in there.

Miami Dolphins 2022
99.2 rushing yards per gm
4.3 rushing yards per att

Miami Dolphins 2023
185.8 rushing yards per gm
6.9 rushing yards per att

Per joe schad

Carolina's run defense gives up 140 yards per game (26th), but they are decent at passing defense, 5th in the league in passing ypg allowed, and have 14 sacks.

Achane & Mostert gonna feast.

Just please - RUN THE BALL !!!

Did Achane roll his ankle? That Fantasy Doctor guy on TikTok showing film of him rolling his right ankle inwardly and saying he may have a HAS. Maybe he just owns Mostert...

I’ve seen nothing about this on any news sites. We’ll have to see when practices start this week.

I think the play was the one where Wynn got hurt. 13:48 of the 4th quarter. Achane with a 1 yard gain to the MIA 31. Mostert played the next two series to finish the game.

Miami Dolphins Oline . . .

6 sacks allowed (#3 NFL)
12 pct. pressure all. (#1 NFL)
9 QB hits all. (#9 NFL)
186 rush yds/gm (#1 NFL)

Sure wish they would get Waddle going.....

Agree that Carolina calls for a run heavy script. Achane and Mostert should eat.

Also gonna ride the D one more time. Hopefully they can contain Sanders/Hubbard and their passing game looks anemic

Was hoping I would get to see the game yesterday, figured with the Eagles playing at 4 Fox would get the double header in our area but they didn't so watched via Redzone again. Reading the game thread it is sort of funny we are to the point that we are complaining about a 15 point win. I mean I agree there were things that needed to be cleaned up off that but a few years ago under coach lawsuit we were just happy if we could score 15 points in a game. This team is so much more fun and exciting to watch just hope they keep it going.

Most teams cannot win a football game throwing a 102-yd return for a TD or
Tua Pick-6, does anyone want to comment on this?

Sometimes it felt like we were almost giving the game away
Giants had almost no way to hurt us but I was happy Tyrod Taylor had not started the entire game for New York

His record of throwing INTs in the redzone indicates it was an anomaly.

There's some discussion on the pick deep in their own territory. Did he hit his hand on the helmet, stop his throw to not hit the helmet or just short arm it. It looks like he hit it but he doesn't shake it out like he would've if he did

If Achane is out for multiple weeks...

Dolphins need to hold serve until Ramsey Achane and TStead all return for the post season push...

Seems like they using this “easier” part of the schedule + the Week 10 BYE to rest/heal players - Armstead, Phillips and now Achane.
v CAR, @ PHI, v NE, Germany KC, Bye.

I want what I always want : Win The ones you’re supposed, give yourself a chance and be close in the tougher matchups.

I want to believe this

"His record of throwing INTs in the redzone indicates it was an anomaly."
Let's go with that

I think Miami can survive Achane on the shelf but it would have been nice over the next several weeks
I know Jeff WIlson is licking his chops and while I don't expect the same explosion, I do expect Miami to cruise past Carolina before they face the Eagles
I won't say much about Philly until we get past Sunday
1 game at a time and maybe this week we can get off the field healthy

I'm not that concerned as long as he is back in a few weeks.
Wilson/Mostert for a week with Brooks and Ahmed backing them up, that's not the end of the world
Hill/Waddle/Tua/Connor/Hunt/Jackson...and Smythe, Ingold and yes Brooks at RB/FB are run blocking very well.
Might not be 75-yd TDs but they can still find big chunks in the running game if they are patient.

Yes, Austin Jackson is a vital part of this offense right now. He is getting off his blocks and he is hitting people on the 2nd level sometimes,
this is not the same Tackle we saw the last 2-3 seasons. I am very pleased with his progress, no 5th year option however so he must know he plays well and he's likely
5/$65M off the top of my head and maybe more, someone will swoop right in and take him if we don't do something.

Might be time for Ross to do something good for once, open that checkbook and get a couple of them extended.
They can have the signing bonus right now and then their new contract won't hit the books until 2024...think about it.
