I talked to my buddy prior to the roster cuts but haven’t gotten around to posting

1: I wanted to know if the Sanders interest was legit or not. He said it was legit. Eagles every year in Andy would check in on top talent they may not have able to draft in 1st in case they fall. Did that with sanders. Buddy said Deion realized he f’d up on his kids probably should’ve let them hire agents. Privately he’s said this publicly he’s trying to save an image. Eagles talked to Sanders OC Pat Schmur former eagles Cord under Andy and felt comfortable with Sanders especially given their lockerroom. The team was also having issues finding trade parterners and figured leaking interest a team might be willing to trade up but Cle decided to leap frog and take him. Talking to some people who know Clev HC Kevin Stephanski sanders has been a good teammate since day 1. Comes in respectful to people, does his work etc. the eagles plan was most likely to have McKee QB2 and develop sanders for potentional QB2 if McKee were to leave: eagles love McKee but it’s up to McKee on his next deal if he wants to stay for lesser money or go elsewhere with a chance for QB1. The issue with the QB class this year wasn’t was really weak. Add class of ‘24 I there and people like Jerimiah, McShay etc said Cam Ward goes late 1st early second. So that had a lot to do with stuff too.

Kyle McCord was a QB they targeted and liked enough to draft but injuries and lack of good play offseason didn’t do well. DTR failed to really impress anyone and never got why we traded Pickett for him outside of getting McKee QB2 option. At least see if you could get some depth piece useful. Releasing McCord to put on PS they felt pretty good with no one taking McCord. Howell is a guy they likes his draft year but couldn’t get. If McKee leaves he could slide into the QB2 but was also brought in do to Mckees injury and in house options weren’t impressing with The Mormon Missile hurt.

As for Hurts he’s been doing well. Some internal concern about another new OC but in house hire they felt kept a lot of same terminology etc. eagles wanted hurts to work more and get to know his back up guys as it was a concern how Dotson/ofhers and him didn’t seem on the same page most of the year or when AJ Smitty were out he wasn’t confident in other options. They also want him to make better decisions on RPOs and not taking unnecessary hits when running: The Eagles made the Metchie trade given Bryant wouldn’t make the team and could in Hou as they lost a TE to an ACL and Eagles lost Johnny Wilson for the year. Darius cooper was impressive and really liked him. Elijah cooks was another wR who impressed but felt he could sneak to PS more so then Cooper.

RB they reward Barkley and cup down on cap they love will Shipley and hope he contributes more. Johnson was cut on numbers and then they added Estime from Den who was cut they liked. Johnson if not elsewhere could make an appearance he’s kind of on stand by if someone like Barkley or Dillion goes down. BSV at FB is interesting but he’s athletic former HS WR. Eagle want to revive an almost extinct position. How this happens is anyone’s guess but it should be a lot of fun. BSV they started using more there right before he got hurt.

TE eagles weren’t sure they’d have Dallas Goadart so made a few small signings hoping a guy would work with Calcatarra. Grayson impressed. Asked about TE draft this year. There were guys they liked but either picked before they thought they’d be or teams weren’t willing to trade with Eagles. They liked mason Taylor and Elijah Arroya.

OL they love the starters but aren’t liking the depth. Cam Williams could develop into someone who maybe replaces Lane down the line but not there yet. They realized letting big Fred go was a mistake and a good swing tackle. Depth with injuries could get scary

DL they love the tackles it was so deep they trade a guy like Booker who could start or a defense. This is a thing people love about the Eagles org. If they know a guy won’t make the team they try to give him enough time and trade them somewhere they have a better shot. Not all teams do this or have a luxary of it. Edge wise they love Hunt or I should say Fangio loves him and Nolan smith. The other edge guys are a bit questionable but hoping to find a Zach Baun in the group. Fangio also loves Ojomo. Expect him to take the Milton williams role. LB might be the deepest theyve been simceearly jim Johnson days. Baun and trotter as starters but Campbell should see time here and at edge. Expect Campbell to play more of what some college Cordinators call the STAR spot. Usually a versatile player who plays all over creating mismatches. Fangio loves him and word is Micah parsons mightbe out of the division but teams should be scared of Campbell. Nakobe Dean thinks he can be back by week 5 and doing great rehab and it’s when he’s first eligible to return. Don’t know if that means start practicing or what.

CB outside of Q and Coop is a big concern. Jackson is there for now but look out for Bennet who Vic really likes. Slay and CJ were outlet go in the off-season. I won’t rehash this more then they felt it was better both were gone. If Slay wasn’t slay he would’ve cut after the parsons pod most likely. They really love Andrew Makuba and he’s a CJ clone down to his size. Basically the huge rumor of why can was let go was nothing more then “YouTube clown content creators” as he called them trying to get clicks and views. Both were gone as even though a lot defended CJ and didn’t like the unprofessionalism of Slay there the incident in the Eagles opinion should’ve been handled with coaches Howie and Lurie as they weren’t all too pleased with Slay either.

There were concerns with Elliot but it seems those have been cleared. Eagles are putting it up to bad year that’s it. LS retired so charlie Hughlette a respect player came in. KR looks like Will Shipley and thighzilla yesAJdillion who was brought in to hopefully take some tots off of Barkley and keep him fresh. PR looks like like Maybe they call up covey then make a roster move after.

Look for the extensions to start at some point. Sources reported most places say jalen Carter could break the franchise record on his deal but nfl records on contract as well. My guy said stupid $$$ will be spent on Carter They like Reed and want to resign him but it depends on money. Coop is playing safety for more versatility but if reed leaves they may just move Cooper sharp to safety if Mcmillian takes good steps and Bennett becomes the player they think he can be. Look for next offseason to be similar as this too. Jordan Davis has to make strides. Eagles feel good about Interior they don’t see it as immediate to look into. Eagles have a price right now in mind it’s up to jordan and his agent if they feel it’s good or can get more elsewhere. Dean is another Mann, DG and Sam Howell also Calcaterra.

I asked about any moves up Howies sleeve. He said if he feels the the team needs to they will be aggressive basically what Howie said recently. I asked with TE coming up is there anyone in the league you see them targeting. He said Pitts is on their radar and if ATL struggles and looking to make a move eagles have the resources to get it done especially if DG is hurt again.

Other offseason rumors: eagles looked into Trey Hendrickson but givenage and rich trade price said no. Eagles checked in on Dal with Parsons but it was more of a courtesy call and Howie seeing if he could drive up a price on another team. Eagles were very interested in Mad Max Crosby from LV. Howie absolutely loves the guy passion. He’s at the right age of still fairly young g but entering prime yrs he could make an impact. Crosby ultimately resigned in LV. Myles Garret. There was some interest if the Eagles could get him on the cheap. Howie checked with his agent before dealing with Andrew Berry and the Browns when they found out what Myles wanted it was a thanks but no thanks and hung up. Eagles couldnt justify the $$$ thej price would’ve had to lose some good players if they were extending both Garrett and Carter. Eagles want to build through the draft then fill in as needed unless a situation like a Crosby or say AJ brown in the past comes up.

Last on the thej push. He said Lurie was passionate as he saw it as a which hunt. Ban it. Roger Goodell makes decisions sometimes on sponsors and with fantasy and sports betting he feels it’s not a move that excites people. He was furious with Troy Vincent being a former Eagle felt Troy of all people would have more common sense. He felt betrayed. He was surprised but thankful that Jerry jones defended the play and Jerry after the speech went to Lurie privately and called the whole thing BS. The eagles saw most of the teams were teams they beat last year and felt because the eagles b**ch slapped them so hard they were just jealous. Major respect was had for Dan Campbell too. They are glad it wasn’t banned but feel Roger wants it and he’ll bring it back next offseason for a vote. How many people really want it banned will spend if owners feel this is a lost cause vote or not. He said don’t be shocked if the Eagles run it randomly at some point just a middle finger to Goodell especially if he’s in the building.

He said to end he thinks they’ll have another great year but wouldn’t be shocked if we don’t win the SB. His biggest concern is health and Depth and that seems like a concern across the board with the org.

If ya'll tailgate regularly, they have a prime spot in the K lot right next to the entrance, and have the massive shiny RV, and chicken rotisserie, and loud music, and his aunt dancing in the inflatable eagles costume

No joke, you cannot miss them, they def have one of the top 3 setups in the lots.

The lots there are interesting, they all have personalities. That one lot kitty corner to K and closer to the street is young/insane.
