We've seen this movie before...

Eagles offense:

- Highest hitch route rate
- Lowest cross route rate
- Bottom 5 in presnap motion
- Bottom 2 in play action fakes
- AJ Brown lines up in the slot less than any other WR in the NFL

So basically our talent was so superior it carried us to this point but teams have figured out how to shut it down easily now because it's so predictable.

Another thing the offense can do to change things up is to go with a no huddle hurry up offense for a series. I swear this team snaps the ball with 1 second left on the play clock 99% of the time.

It does. and the defense knows it. Hard to catch anyone by surprise when the whole stadium can see you are hiking in 3...2...1

I would expect LAC to implement a similar blue print from CHI to win in week14.
Run the ball with Vidal + Patterson (or Hampton if ready).
Win the time of possession.
Don't give Hurts opportunities to get into a rhythm.
Play a slow "run the clock" ball game. Eagles are one of the slowest pace teams anyway. If you start chucking the ball and score too fast, it sort of wakes up Hurts.
Now going from Swift + Monongai to Vidal + Patterson plus the LAC oline is a step down in comp.
But I still expect a slow boring game this MNF.

Honestly, if this team only focused on cleaning up the penalties, I swear they'd have a good enough offense to win most games. It feels like 3-4 times a game, they're in 1st and ten to start a drive, Saquon rips a 14 yarder and its called back due to holding. So then we're at 1st and 20 and the whole play calling mentality has to shift. Mailata has talked about it on his radio show. The offensive line simply can't get into a rythym when you are constantly moving backwards and gains are being nullified.

They've had 21 accepted penalties in the last two weeks. Like, what the **** is that? What happened to Stoutland U? Most of these are pre-snap too, which is infuriating.

I'd wager they left 7-10 points on the field on both of those games, simply due to the penalties. Get that cleaned up and the rest of the stuff will work itself out.

Why they continue to put Calcatarra in as a blocker is beyond me

One of the biggest head scratchers of the Sirianni era. I know he likes to be hands off but he needs to intervene here. It’s not like they even use Calcantara in the passing game to justify him being on the field.

One theory floating around is because he’s best friends with Hurts from their Oklahoma year. He probably insist that Grant plays. It seems this team is so worried about screwing up at QB again and hurting Jalen’s feelings where he goes the route of Wentz and asks for a trade or something. That’s the only thing I can come up with in all of this. They know they handled the Wentz/Hurts thing wrong and are desperate to not let it happen again. You need to have a happy medium though if yes and no to your QB. Both need to be able to communicate and compromise stuff.

I think it’s more the talent is superior to the coaches. Nick gets out coached constantly and seems to luck his way into a win when the other HC gets too cute or outsmarts themselves. The offense has gotten so predictable it makes us even more vulnerable.

I see a few plausible issues. Is Hurts getting his way because Patullo and or Nick not have the balls to tell Hurts “we did it your way it’s not working let’s go back to what works.

Did the coaches go to Hurts and tell him and he just refuses to change

Or

Is Nick too Loyal to KP and won’t fire him afraid that others will question his loyalty to them?

Really depends. You do look at that but you also look how did they get to a collapse again? Were similar mistakes made? Did they learn from past mistakes? If Nick doesn’t want to fire KP imho that’s a fire able offense on Nicks part there.

Feel free to go back and look in the thread where any Eagles fan would say "Man this offensive line is not as good as people think/its playing like crap" and you'll find a ton of guys (maybe yourself?) in there countering it. There are plenty of examples just search for any of that Packers guy that lives in our threads for examples I'm pretty sure he was the guy saying lol, the Eagles were the best OL in football as late as week 6-8 when Saquon was pretty much leading the league in amount of times he was hit behind the line of scrimmage. Its all there
