3rd Year WRs (1 Viewer)

The Big V

Haven't seen a FBGs article yet about this year's magical 3rd year WRs.

Anyone put one together or know where I can find one?

Thanks

V

Derek Hagan is reportedly having an excellent camp. Chad Jackson has a chance. Travis Wilson has reportedly made some progress.

I wouldn't pay much attention to the rest of these guys other than the obvious picks (Jennings, Holmes, Marshall, Colston).

i like Demetrius Williams this year as a sleeper. He has shown flashes of big play ability. Hopefully he can continue to get more looks.

Third year WR breakout is a myth. WR breakout in any season. 3rd year may be a fraction greater than other years, but the field of all other years >>> 3rd year in terms of WR breakouts.

Colston has a fair chance of breaking out.

Jennings too.

In all seriousness, maybe Chad Jackson and D. Williams.

Are their stats to back this up? While i do think the 3rd year breakout is exagerated, i do think there is some truth to it.

 Footballguys did a study of this a couple years ago and empirically proved it is a myth.

Based on the list above, I am not endorsing the 3rd year WR rule. So this year I am going with the 2nd or 4th year rule. I'm just not sure which.
