49ers will win 13 games. I GUARANTEE IT! (1 Viewer)

The 49ers are about to crush the rest of the NFC. They play in a weak division, they just dominated the defending NFC champ....ON THE ROAD. Shaun Hill is putting it together, and will likely be a Pro Bowler this season. I talked to my BIL, who is good friends with a personal trainer who said Crabtree is working with and getting advice from Jerry Rice and is likely to sign soon! The "supposed" favorites in the NFC will overlook the 49ers this year. WHAT A MISTAKE THAT WILL BE!!! Issac Bruce has a career 24.6 ypc in Candlestick, 35 career TDs, the guy simply loves playing in that stadium. Team Captain Veron Davis is making the leap, and will finish the year as the best TE in football. Patrick Willis is the best LB in the game, in the past 35 years.

DOMINATION.

Hill reminds me a bit of Dilfer [solid game manager] and the D is very underrated, I just don't see the 13 wins. Wouldn't be surprised at 10.

This is funny a whole post about how great the 49ers are going to be without one mention of GORE :)Yet plenty mention of Senor citizen Bruce and an unsigned undeserving Crabtree

I'm not sure why you'd question this part. I come to the SP to get these little pieces of insider info.
I did too until I read those Brandon Marshall threads. Sorry for raining on your parade, my fault.
I'm not following you. What does this have to do with Brandon Marshall?
Every one of them was predicated on unsubstantiated rumors that had similar scenarios. LIke I said, my fault, just making some bad jokes lol.

Easy there, gigs. The Cards allowed the 49ers to squeak by because of 12 penalties. I'll buy 8-8. I'll even go with 10-6 if things fall their way (like very few injuries).... but with out-of-division games at Indy, at Philly, at Green Bay, and vs Tennessee, anything more than 10-6 requires a big pile of pixie dust.

Hey Homer,Let's see how they do against the 'Hawks first, ok? Did you see the 49's rushing stats last week? Not too impressive. And beating the defending NFC champs? Please, the Cardinals are an empty shell of themselves from last year. I say the 49'rs finish ahead of the Cards and Rams, but not ahead of the Hawks. Sorry, down the road I could see it, but not for a couple more years. I like your enthusiam though.

WOW! I like it!But we don't need 13 wins to take our crappy division, so I'll tone it down to 9 or 10 wins.

:blackdot:

After the Super Bowl the Cardinals are touted as extremely weak, yadda, yadda, yadda. Now everyone is touting them as a team to beat. Hello, the Cardinals lost 7 games last season. The 49ers squeaking one out is no biggie.

Yeah that definitely invalidates being one defensive stop away from winning the Super Bowl.

WOW, you beat the RAMS and now try to downplay our win?? Don't get all high and mighty about Jones' running game last week either, we all know the real story. I'll be at the game Sun. It's gonna be sweet seeing the 49ers D take the breath out of whatever life STL gave your offense.

I am a niner fan as well but let's be real, with the schedule below, do you still believe 13 wins? Even if they swept their division, which they won't, they still would have to win the majority of the non-division games, only losing three...who will they beat out of Min, Atl, Ind, Ten, Hou, Chi,GB, Jac, Phi? I can only see one or two wins, maybe, in that group. Did you see their passing game, running game,...hell the game last week at all.

Code:
Wk	Date	Game	2 Sep 20	SEA @ SF	3 Sep 27	SF @ MIN4 Oct 04	STL @ SF 5 Oct 11	ATL @ SF 6	Bye	7 Oct 25	SF @ HOU 8 Nov 01	SF @ IND 9 Nov 08	TEN @ SF 10 Nov 12	CHI @ SF 11 Nov 22	SF @ GB 12 Nov 29	JAC @ SF13 Dec 06	SF @ SEA 14 Dec 14	ARI @ SF	15 Dec 20	SF @ PHI 16 Dec 27	DET @ SF 17 Jan 03	SF @ STL

Love the optimism......and the insanity!! There wasn't even any mention of the supercoach Mike Singletary.

Even before their win over Arizona, I was quietly confident we would win the division this year.....actually I was more confident about a Week 1 win on the road.

I think 10 wins should do it and the 49ers have 10 in them for sure this season. How we handle the Seahawks this week after a great road win in Week 1 will go a long way to proving what the 49ers are capable of in 2009.

I would say Atlanta at home.....Houston on the road, Chicago at home and Jax at home.....plus sweeping the division gives us 10.

greatly looking forward to teh 49ers v. Seahawks TILT on Sunday. SF can put the wind in its sails if the boys dump Hasselback a few times like they did Warner.

lol after week one. you guys looked good, but in all honesty, you only had one drive in the whole game. i think you had 200 total yards and 80 of them were on one drive. the defense looked good enough to compete but the offense is lacking IMO. i like the optimism, but 13????

Isn't a bit early for this?

I'm excited to watch what should be a good game this coming weekend with Seattle. 49ers are currently favored at home by 1.5 points. Winner gets first place to themselves in the NFC West. My gut says it will have a playoff feel to it (or as much as is possible in week 2).

The Bay Area has some of the highest education levels in the country, but for some reason Niner fans seem to be among the stupidest.

I just have a feeling the Niners will beat Seattle this weekend. If we can win at Minne, STL at home should be an automatic win. I don't think they have a definately loss until Indy.

I'm not a 49ers fan but I like what Singeltary is doing. But c'mon man, anyone who watched that game could see how horrible Warner looked, and don't credit your 49er defense, he's been looking that way all preseason. Although that win was a big accomplishment it's not as big as you think, spare yourself the "we just beat the NFC Champs" pep talk, the Cardinals are going to be a mess this year. I think Leinhart actually will end up finishing the year as the starter since Warner only plays good football every other year or so.

I like the 49ers this year but 13-3? Get real. A weak division only gives you 6 free wins, and Seattle isn't a pushover even though STL looks to be. What about the other 7 wins? Be happy with a 9-7 or 10-6 if things fall right.

Don't think they'll take down Detroit at the 'Stick?

With this schedule I could see them going 8-8 or maybe even 9-7 (with surprise wins against Chicago and Jax).

Fact. I liked it better when they were under their rock the last 5+ years. Now, all the sudden, after beating a marginal Cards team, they're world beaters. Laughable. The road to the NFC West title goes through Seattle. It's as simple as that.

I saw that game and I thought AZ beat themselves. No way the 49ers dominated.

Must have been one helluva a party you were at last night. How's the hangover. Are you thinking rationally yet?

Heres a stat to take up the slack about the running game: 19/61, 18/94

When told his team gave up 13 sacks in two games against the Seahawks last year...

Hearing that stat, LT Joe Staley yelled: "Damn. I didn't think it was that many."

The Vikings and Falcons will be tougher games for the 9ers than the Colts as they can both run the ball AND shut down your only real threat in Frank Gore. If you can pull one of those two out, then you can start talking about being "for real". Have to beat Seattle first, though.

I don't think Singletary is getting nearly enough love for the masterful coaching job he did last Sunday, when late in the game he faked like he was going to drop his pants, and got into Warner and the Cards offensive players' heads, sealing the win.
