Who gave the description of him in women’s clothing?
The police chief, whom was dressed as a cowboy.

Which goes back to the question of why do people think its a good idea to use them in a a public setting. Unfortunately legal gun owners may pay the price for the unhinged who cannot control their actions.
So he goes to this level to ostensibly throw the police off but doesn't have the common sense to not use a gun that he legally purchased and so, registered with an FFL and the state?
His YouTube Channel.Where did he originally post this video?
Seems like the answer is "a lot".#### man. How many incidents like this do we need for people before we decide this is unacceptable and we should change as a country?
Well he did hit 26 others, now you’re talking roughly 40% hit/killed someone. So he goes to this level to ostensibly throw the police off but doesn't have the common sense to not use a gun that he legally purchased and so, registered with an FFL and the state?
Before I get run over by the morals truck, I say that to point out that if you had a truly maniacal person, who was well versed with a gun, the hit to mis ratio would be flipped and these events would be more similar to what we saw in Vegas years ago as opposed to some nut dressed as a woman popping off 70 rounds and only killing 6. I deplore these violent acts but be prepared, they could be and most likely will be much, much worse.
Don’t tell Karma Police but you can work on Chicago. They only had 80+ shootings this weekend.Darn and we were just coming up on the reasonable amount of time from the last shooting where we could talk about what to do about it.
I guess the endless cycle of waiting until enough time has passed starts over yet again.
Were those all from him or people crawling over one another to get out of the way? I never have seen.Well he did hit 26 others, now you’re talking roughly 40% hit/killed someone.
RelevantYeah - I've never seriously considered moving to another country and still not really considering it but the gun issue is probably the only thing that would maybe convince me to move.
They said on CNN that all but one or two were bullet wounds. Were those all from him or people crawling over one another to get out of the way? I never have seen.
Good point, some of it could be from getting trampled.I’ll see if I can find that out later. Even so, they wouldn’t have been trampled if there was no gunshots. Were those all from him or people crawling over one another to get out of the way? I never have seen.
We have all 3 of our kids living within 25 minutes and now have 3 grandchildren. We aren't going anywhere.Yeah - I've never seriously considered moving to another country and still not really considering it but the gun issue is probably the only thing that would maybe convince me to move.
ThanksThey said on CNN that all but one or two were bullet wounds.
Yep, was just referring to gunshots but fair point, none of it happens if dip#### doesn't go all Charles Whitman.Good point, some of it could be from getting trampled.I’ll see if I can find that out later. Even so, they wouldn’t have been trampled if there was no gunshots.
From what I have read, 6 dead + 30 injured. Only 4 of those injured were from the chaos of people trying to flee. So the 26 number is from gun shots.beer 30 said:Were those all from him or people crawling over one another to get out of the way? I never have seen.
Yet the uncle, when interviewed, claimed there were no signs violent behavior. Nice job uncle Paul.I was just reading that too.

In April 2019, police were called to his home one week after he reportedly attempted suicide. "It was a mental health issue," Mr Covelli said on Tuesday, adding that the issue was left in the hands of "mental health professionals".
In September 2019, police were called by a family member of the suspect, who said he was making violent threats to "kill everyone".
Police responded and removed 16 knives, a dagger and a sword from his home. He was not arrested, and no further action was taken.
A face tattoo is a pretty big sign, IMO.Yet the uncle, when interviewed, claimed there were no signs violent behavior. Nice job uncle Paul.
Gun laws won't change until every single person in this country has been subjected to a mass shooting themselves. Should be any day now...Found out a good friend’s husband was one of the first few officers on the scene Monday. He’s a tough dude, but he was rattled by the scene he walked into. Said it was “like walking onto the set of a horror movie.” He’s actually on the FoxNews website landing page right now (or he was 1-2 hours ago). Anyway, if that dude was bothered by it, then it must have been tough to see. Oh, two things he mentioned that really hit him: 1) how many flip flops were laying on the ground because people just ran and left their shoes / flops behind, 2) the fear people had as he was shepherding people who had been hiding into safety.
Didn't make this connection before, but these are the parents of the 2 yr old that was found in the chaos. A Go Fund Me account was set up for the boy...already hit $1.2 M. Such tragedy...and such amazing generosity that has resulted.6 of the 7 deceased have been publicly identified...
- 64-year-old Katherine Goldstein of Highland Park
- 35-year-old Irina McCarthy of Highland Park
- 37-year-old Kevin McCarthy of Highland Park
- 63-year-old Jacquelyn Sundheim of Highland Park
- 88-year-old Stephen Straus of Highland Park
- 78-year-old Nicolas Toledo-Zaragoza of Morelos, Mexico
I think the regulations on that militia need to be rethought because it's is failing the "well" portion.Per CNN....
Police say they took knives and a sword from the Illinois shooting suspect's home in 2019 after a relative reported he threatened to "kill everyone"
Despite this, he was legally allowed to buy a semi-automatic rifle. Because....ya know....we are entitled to a "well regulated militia". Makes TOTAL sense.

Many of us have been begging to fix NICS and include juvenile records to the registry.I was just reading that too.

At least he’ll grow up happy knowing they died protecting an American’s right to shoot as many bullets as humanly possible or not be mildly inconvenienced when buying an assault rifle.Didn't make this connection before, but these are the parents of the 2 yr old that was found in the chaos. Ugh. Seriously, who reads this and says “meh, no big deal.” That is really truly awful.Didn't make this connection before, but these are the parents of the 2 yr old that was found in the chaos. As long as you don’t consider them white privilege.Should we just leave the flags at half staff at this point? Save a lot of trouble.
How does any politician go home, look his spouse and children in the eyes, and tell them he’s too concerned about keeping his elected seat instead of taking action to save lives? How do those family members tolerate this? I absolutely don’t understand it. You’d think that somewhere, in some state, a high schooler would form an organized group of politicians’ kids to protest what their spineless parents are (not) doing.Ugh. Seriously, who reads this and says “meh, no big deal.” That is really truly awful.
Politics has become so divided that Democrats and Republicans are so afraid of being torn a new one by CNN and FOX, respectively, if they dare stray towards a compromised position. This is not the way it’s supposed to be.How does any politician go home, look his spouse and children in the eyes, and tell them he’s too concerned about keeping his elected seat instead of taking action to save lives? Pssssst: "sensible restraints" in the eyes of much/most of the anti-gun crowd is "we want to take some of your guns"Politics has become so divided that Democrats and Republicans are so afraid of being torn a new one by CNN and FOX, respectively, if they dare stray towards a compromised position. The loudmouths on the right and left play right into it and continue to push the divide even further.
Look at this thread where you see boogeymen like “they want to take our guns” - anyone saying that is part of the problem. No one wants all guns gone (basically impossible) - they want sensible restraints - but OH NO SLIPPERY SLOPE!!!
No - that is not "sensible."Pssssst: "sensible restraints" in the eyes of much/most of the anti-gun crowd is "we want to take some of your guns"
Its not a boogeyman when they've come right out and said it. HTH
You sincerely don't think several politicians have come right out about confiscating some/all guns?No - that is not "sensible."
Who said it?
Yeah - I've heard some calls to limit those types of weapons - to me that's not "taking all of your guns away" and it's arguably not infringing on your right to bear arms (there are already limitations in place on owning certain types of 'arms').You sincerely don't think several politicians have come right out about confiscating some/all guns?
You've never seen/heard quotes like these?
"Hell, yes, we’re going to take your AR-15, your AK-47.”
Former Texas Congressman Beto O'Rourke
Just enforcing some common sense would be a good start. This Twitter thread gives a pretty good timeline into how nutjob got his guns thanks to good old dad. Who, I might add, should be tried for every crime his son committed.I hope my Illinois politicians enforce extreme gun control laws. Other states that don’t do the same can go ..pound sand. This is beyond ridiculous.
What politician has said this?Pssssst: "sensible restraints" in the eyes of much/most of the anti-gun crowd is "we want to take some of your guns"
So tired of this ####. Just like GB in the other forum, you guys conveniently glance over all the posts from conservatives with complaints about big cities, lib media, Hollywood being political, the border, etc, etc. But for some reason despite concerns and complaints from both sides of the aisle, only one gets to drape themselves in the flag and claim they love the country. This thread is like reading the results of 50 years of demoralization. What a awful country you folks think you live in. Your soft ideology and policies lead to this corrupted state of affairs and yet you continue to vote and beg for more of it.
We need to promote healthy nationalism, love and acceptance, not morally bankrupt and disingenuous, hyperbolic propaganda campaigns.
The guns have always been here, it’s the people and culture that’s changed.
