Please be patient and let’s see if we can solve the problem first. If we can’t, then maybe I will redo a couple of the pairings so you don’t have to play him, at least for now. No need to make a quick decision.

Yikes. I didn’t realize this would be such an issue. Guess it’s my fault for not asking the question before. 

OK, let’s wait for irishidiot to come back here then, and see if we can come up with an alternative that allows him to play over some kind of board. If we can’t figure it out, I may have to ask him to leave the tournament and seek a replacement. 

Everyone please hold off on starting Round 2 until we can solve this. 

 
If you started that’s fine, pairings probably won’t change. 

I sent a long pm to irishidiot explaining the problem. Let’s wait and see how he responds. 

 
I think Irish said he was willing to use lichess, which IMO is better than ChessTime (has both a mobile interface and can access through web).  If I get matched up with him I'd be fine using lichess, but would probably prefer not to play by notation.  

Tim, do you have the CT usernames saved?  Might be helpful to include them on the match-ups or matched up with FBG users on the first post.  No biggie though.

Invite sent for my matchup, I'll switch to black once accepted. :thumbup:

 
I’d be fine playing one match on Lichess.  I just don’t want to play the whole tournament that way because they don’t have a Microsoft app.

 
Ok, can someone explain how to send the invite and set who is white?  We've started but just want to know for future reference.

That's what I thought too but I sent both invites in round 1 and 2 and it started me as black both times.  I cancelled and offered rematch and it made me white on the second try.  Not a big deal - but it also won't let you send a chat until the game starts so I couldn't notify the person to swap.

Anybody want to play a game just for fun (not part of the tournament)?  I'm recovering from walking pneumonia and going stir crazy.

 
cool. so in response---- D5.  hoping everything is on the cool wild side & if not go talk to my bromigo & ask him to do a little dancerino around the block & then talk to me about the move I'm about to make and take that to the bankarino.

Send me the moves by pm from now on. I don’t mind posting it here but we don’t want somebody offering an opinion.

Total luck. I made a terrible move, he caught it, made a great move to win the exchange and pretty much had a winning position- I would have been lucky to fight for a draw and frankly I was just considering resigning...then he blundered the next move, didn’t take the exchange, and left me a pawn up. Just a bad mistake by Juxt after playing a very good middlegame. 

 
That's not too slow especially over the weekend.

BTW our game is over.  I beat Nick V.
