______ Passed Away Today, RIP (4 Viewers)

Original Yardbirds guitarist Anthony "Top" Topham has died at the age of 75. link

He was just 15 years old when he co-founded the group in 1963, but was forced by his parents to quit after just a few months because he was too young. He later had a brief career as a session musician before mostly leaving the music business. Here he is with Christine McVie just before she joined Fleetwood Mac in 1970: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J-OqZrZm5ik

Cindi Williams is headed to the Shotz brewery in the sky... :frown:

I think Michael McKean is the last of the 6 on that show still alive

I used to love that show as a kid. And reruns. I'm sure I missed some of the joke

Ah, I met her once. Seemed nice, at least, I don't remember her as being anyone I didn't get along with. She led me to tell maybe one of the funniest jokes I've ever said, which sadly cannot be shared here :kicksrock:

Sadly it appears that Arachnophobia/Warlock/Killing Fields/24/Boxing Helena actor Julian Sands may be qualifying for this thread soon. He went hiking on Mt Baldy two weeks ago and hasn't been seen since. :(

Original Wednesday Addams

I remember her from her frequent appearances on daytime talk shows in the '80s, after she had married an adult film actor.

Farrell Foumberg

Farrell Foumberg was Loring’s childhood sweetheart, whom she married in 1973 when she was 15. They share a daughter together. They divorced a year after their marriage.

:oldunsure:

Lots of sad stuff the last week or so here. Seems almost everyday we are losing someone who was “part of our lives”.

Hopefully they find Julian Sands, he was pretty experienced hike/climber from what I read but after 2 weeks it is hard to imagine anything but the worst.

I think the "phenomenon" can be explained with two things:

1. This has always been the case - we are mostly middle aged dudes - it's natural for us to see this
2. Social media and media/entertainment in general - not only do we find out about everything nowadays, but there's also more "celebrities" than ever. The volume of folks out there that are known to us has to be the greatest in history.

John Adams...If you have ever been a Cleveland Indians/Guardians fan in the last 40+ years, you know.
I met him about 10 years ago. Great guy. He was a local celebrity who didn't think of himself as one. If you've ever watched an Indians game in the last 50 years, you've heard him. At least the team honored him while he was alive. There's a bronze drum sculpture and bleacher bench memorializing him.

The Royals broadcast would show him pretty much every game they were in Cleveland.
